Erin Moran's limo driver, Barton T. Wade, has shared with Breaking Christian News that years ago, Moran told him about how her friend and fellow actress, Lisa Welchel had led her to the Lord, and that she had accepted Christ.

Well, since you are an expert, you already know that the only way to get a ticket into heaven, according to the Bible. It starts with a “b” and two letters latter there is a “p” and ends with a “tism.”
Better question is, since she knew she was dying of cancer, getting to “know the Lord” is a more timely option (stipulating that it was a sincere effort).
If she had suddenly dropped dead of a heart attack, she’d be SOL?
Seems kind of arbitrary...

Yep. It does seem that way.
I don’t make the rules.
[[Those who believe that good works can atone for sin, do not understand how thoroughly corrupt human nature is and how utterly holy God is.]]
Precisely- Our ‘good works’ are ‘filthy rags’ compared to His Holiness- and His Holiness demands that we be washed clean- Sin can not exist in the same realm as His complete Holiness- that is why Satan was cast out-
[[In a nutshell, sin is much more serious to God than it is to us.]]
Exactly right- As THE Moral Agent of justice and truth and Holiness- God MUST punish sinners Objectively because to not do so means He then becomes a subjective judge- Being a judge carries with it a huge responsibility to be objective and fair to all- when you start handing out favors subjectively, you are no longer a moral objective judge- and the law has no meaning- (This is exactly what the left are trying to do to all our objective laws today- undermine them so that criminals are protected, while their victims have to suffer further)
God has been very very lenient and compassionate in offering us Salvation through the death of His Son- what a tremendous gift He gave His life for us- Yet there are those who state they will never accept God because ‘He is unfair’ because He ‘condemns people to death’ for ‘seemingly ‘innocent’ crimes’- complain that the punishment doesn’t fit the crime-
The fact is that the person WILLINGLY goes to hell, and when in Hell- the restrainer- ie the Holy Spirit- is no longer present, and that person becomes even more angry at the Holy righteous God than they were while on earth- The fact is that the unsaved in Hell will continue to reject God-
God isn’t going to force anyone to make a choice to accept Him- They can do so or not do so according to their own wishes, but one thing they can not do when in hell is accuse God of being unfair no more so than a son or daughter who refuses to submit to the will of the parents and lives outside the household and refuses to go in when the door is wide open, can complain that their parent is being unfair to them- The offer is there to join in the family activities- but the CHOICE is the sole responsibility of the one on the outside to humbly accept
CS Lewis said it well- In His book The Great Divorce- He wrote about what would happen if demons were given the chance to live in heaven- In His book- He explained they would decline because they had become so averse to God and Holiness that they wanted nothing to do with His righteousness- They had determined in their hearts to live eternity without Him- and God obliged them- it was their conscious choice to reject Him and His Holiness- Their choice reflected their conscious decision long ago
John 14:6
Jesus answered, I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Agreed - as a lifelong Protestant. Jesus said that if someone so much as gave a cup of water to one of His disciples, that person would “certainly not lose their reward.” God looks on the heart of every person, and He will have mercy upon whomever He wishes. I have seen Muslims who protected Christians from certain death. They will not lose their reward!
>>>Nobody knows. None of us knows. If we KNEW, we would not need FAITH. We BELIEVE based upon our FAITH, not upon our knowledge.<<<
I may not know much . . . but I do know WHO
” . . . I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day” (II Timothy 1:12).
Would that God show you the same truth!
>>>Thats what Christianity teaches.<<<
No, that is what the Word of God teaches . . . and a Christian believes the Book.
Your anger is not with your fellow man, but with the God that Authored that Book.
>>>I am happy for her. She is in paradise with our Lord surrounded with His endless love.<<<
And perhaps some will meet her one day due to the testimony of this thread . . . God’s promise found in this passage from Isaiah is our reason to believe this . . .
“For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it” (Isaiah 55:10-11).
My Word, He says, shall not return void - or empty - but it will accomplish His pleasure, and it is His will that all men MIGHT be saved.
I’m not angry; like I said above I have no reason to be angry with someone who genuinely believes he is trying to save me from damnation, as long as persuasion is as far as it goes, and they respect my right to decide for myself. I just don’t believe in divine revelation as relayed by humans. I’m fine with God whether you think so or not.
“So all Hindus and Buddhist, that dont Know the Lord, go to Hell? Really?”
Yes.
Just because YOU don’t believe it, doesn’t mean it isn’t true.
But ANYONE can go to heaven. Ask a born again “saved” Christian to find out how. Or as I did, read His book, the bible.
Born once die twice (bad)
Born TWICE die ONCE (good)
There are two deaths. A “physical” death and a “spiritual” death.
EVERYONE experienced a “physical” birth. (born once)
EVERYONE will experience a “physical” death. (die once)
Those who believe in Jesus Christ and have accepted Him as their Lord and Savior, are “born again” (now born TWICE).
They will not experience the second death (spiritual death).
For ALL the rest, Hindus, Buddhists, Muslims, non-believers, pretend Christians, etc, they WILL die a second death, a “spiritual” death. (dieing twice).
This doesn’t mean they cease to exist. They spend their physically and spiritually dead existence in torment for all eternity, (hell, lake of fire), separated from God.
It’s all in the book!
Matthew 7: (NIV)
13 Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
destruction = hell
life = eternal life in heaven with Jesus.
Wide gate/broad road = the easy way, less restrictions.
Small gate/narrow road = harder, restricted, rules, beliefs, sacrifice.
with all due respect- you’re kinda not fine with God because God told us His word is given by inspiration directly from Him via the Holy Spirit through man- You are calling His word into question- denying that His word was written through divine inspiration like God said it was
Not attacking you- just pointing this out to you as your statement about divine inspiration betray your claim about being fine with God-
The Bible is God’s Word & if you choose to believe that it doesn’t really mean what it says, then you do so at your own risk.
