The advantage of nuclear weapons is that they don’t have to be accurate. You don’t even have to launch them. Detonate them in place and your enemies will be dead in a couple of weeks.
The Chinese were also working on missiles for space shots and later on missiles to defeat US carrier groups, which makes what Slick and Loral did even more despicable. They had a real problem with anything requiring good accuracy until that treasonous technology transfer.
