Yeah, you should have been on my first flight in an Airbus when the captain announced that our new first officer (me) will be taking off for the first time ever in this here Airbus; there’ll be a slight pause while the CA’s top off your adult beverage.
Heh ... Not being a pilot myself, I can’t be sure ... but takeoff seems easier than landing. TO always seems to go smoothly, even with inexperienced pilots. A couple of hairy landings stick in my mind ...
