People that new what they were talking about only insisted on born in the US or US territory to a US Citizen father. Mothers citizenship means nothing.

I rarely disagree with you, but, going on original intent the mothers citizenship is irrelevant. In the days of our founding the wife acquired the citizenship of the husband at the time of her marriage. A child also acquired the citizenship of the father even if born abroad. However language (law passed) was quickly added so as to preclude born abroad to be NBC. So IMHO Ivanka and all the other Trump children are NBCs (if they were born in the US or a Territory of the US).
Well there is such a thing as a NBC, it is even mentioned in our Constitution. So I am not following you, re sophistry

What could be more annoying than a billionaire’s offspring trying to lecture and model the rest of us on how to conduct our lives—and using her family position to further airhead leftist political positions within her father’s Republican administration.
And yes, Trump ultimately is responsible for bringing Jared and Ivanka into the admin—and, I fear, will ultimately surrender a second term to their perfidy.

Everything about Ivanka and Jared screams leftist Manhattan Democrat positions. From everything she says to all the ways that Trump has flipped to the left from what he ran on to the myriad reports that Jared and Ivanka have turned Trump to the left to all of the leftist Democrat cronies and Goldman Sach globalist crowd that they have brought into the administration.
We are way beyond needing to doubt that Jared and Ivanka are as toxic to our republic as they are.

I find zero contradictions in her statement & President Trump’s policy. Discussing the idea of opening our borders to Syria is not in conflict with current policy.

There’s a group of folks here on FR who have an irrational dislike of the Kushners that I can understand for the life of me. They advised candidate Trump into the White House & now they are evil? It makes zero sense to me. :)

I should have tagged I was being sarcastic. Evetytime Trump moves left or shows he is on the verge of caving on one of his campaign promises, his true believers around here blow it of that it is art of the deal....I have also seen several true believers tout Ivanka or Don Jr. as Trumps successor in 2024.
That being said, yes, I am still glad Hillary lost. I just dont think Trump is the savior so many people think he is. He is just as left of center as many of the GOPe’ers he defeated in the primaries.

I agree with much of what you say.
Though presidents have advisors, to have Ivanka and her husband going abroad representing President Trump is inappropriate as they are not ambassadors and were not elected, nominated or confirmed. I would be less concerned if they were conservative leaning; however, I think Ivanka and her husband are really democrats who supported (I don’t think they voted) her father. This is not the family business—her father is President of the United States of America not Trump enterprises. IMHO Ivanka and Jared need to have very clearly defined limited public roles in the domestic arena.
Ivanka certainly has her strengths and may be effective supporting the administration’s domestic policies, but foreign trips highlighting foreign policy is not appropriate IMHO.
Though I have concerns about some of the supposed “winning,” and whether Trump is draining the swamp or swamp is draining him, I would still crawl across broken glass to vote for Trump today and am so glad Hillary is not Madame President!
He needs to appoint them as Ambassadors to someplace far away from the White House.
I don’t think they should be ambassadors to anything...Ideally, they need to go back to New York. In reality, they need to be kept on a tight leash and not allowed to be yapping abroad!
