Absolutely. If this continues, the RINOs can expect to be primaried by patriots who aren’t afraid to do what the people elected them for.

Damn straight we will.

One of the things the left does get about the whole 2016 campaign - its not about a cult of personality its about love of the country. The wall is a huge symbol of keeping faith with the America people.

A straight forward tangible solution demanded by and promised to the America citizen. If this cannot be done we now can be certain we are ruled by tyrannical oligarchs.

No wall - no trust - no legitimate government - revolution soon - we're pissed.

The money was appropriated what like back in 2006 - 2007 ish

Build the wall now and start ignoring activist judges president Trump pretty much that simple - perhaps not easy

It is odd that any GOPers in Congress might doubt our passion, our resolve, and our dauntless determination to secure our absolutely critical borders, and to do so with no delay. This should be so perfectly clear by now.

We need a list of wobbly and cowardly and fence-sitting Republicans so we can plan now for the primary election process.

"...National Committee Chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel..."

I don't know much about Ronna Romney McDaniel...other than she appears to be the smartest Republican in America right now.

The people who pay for the campaigns don’t want a wall.

Voters are products, not consumers. The big donors are the customers. They don’t want a wall, because it will make their margins shrink.

RE:"McDaniel predicted many Americans would be frustrated by the news a downpayment to start construction of the border wall would be dropped from a must-pass spending bill in Congress this week. Noting that building the border wall was “front and center” in Trump’s 2016 campaign, the RNC chair insisted that “our voters are going to expect us to act on it."

Let's see what Trump really promised.

Trump has vowed to force Mexico to pay for the border wall and said Tuesday on MSNBC that the hefty $8 billion price tag “is a tiny fraction of the money that we lose with Mexico” on trade.
“The wall is probably $8 billion, which is a tiny fraction of the money that we lose with Mexico. We lose a tremendous amount of trade deficits. We have a trade deficit with Mexico that is astronomical, much bigger than that. We will get — and I say it also is also part of my plan — Mexico is going to play for the wall,” he said.
Trump: Border wall will cost $8 billion( CNN ^ | Tue February 9, 2016 | By Jeremy Diamond, CNN Posted on 2/9/2016 here)

Not congress, not deficits but Mexico.

Suggestion : Tell congress to pass a bill cutting funding from sanctuary cities, etc, with the $$$ going to pay the Wall.

I’m not sure which is greater here: the GOP-e’s hubris or its cluelessness. A lack of seriousness? Probity?

Whatever the problem, on this issue salient to all conservatives they certainly have a major malfunction.

I’m not even sure that they understand they are still on double-secret probation. They seem to think that Trump winning and our realization that he needed Congress washed their sins clean.

This past election should open the eyes of many who believe in conservative politics...
Trump was elected by the people on mostly conservative ideas and plans for the country and people...He is trying to accomplish what he campaigned on...

On the other hand, republicans in Congress have campaigned on basically the same things, but when elected, they don’t even try to accomplish what they campaigned on...This has basically been accepted as politics as normal for years...

Now, we see that it is definitely true that the “professional politicians” from BOTH parties care nothing about the country or our people...They are proving this over and over by the way they are handcuffing everything trump tries...They have fully exposed themselves....

The way out of this is, as said, primary their asses out...

If this isn’t done, we are going to continue in a downward spiral until there is no alternative for the people but revolt...

LifeZette editor-in-chief Laura Ingraham referred to reports of GOP leaders “sitting behind closed doors” and laughing at the prospect of building the wall, to which McDaniel warned those lawmakers are “going to lose the trust of our base.”

I doubt that this quite catches the tone of those closed-door discussions. Trump's rants about building a wall and making Mexico pay for it were great theater for the primaries. But Trump was talking through his hat, and everyone knew it. Several of the other candidates, most notably Ted Cruz, were trying to talk seriously about immigration and what could be done to reestablish effective border control, but that all got drowned out by Trump's demagoguery. Now Trump is discovering that it's going to be harder than he thought.

I imagine a lot of the Republican lawmakers are in "we told you so" mode right now. The question is how big a stick of dynamite they want to use to blow themselves up trying to redeem a promise that (1) they didn't make themselves and (2) Trump should not have made in the first place.

The Cruz stump speech was very good on this sort of thing. He was very careful to distinguish between what he could do as president by executive order, what could be done by regulation (which takes some time), and what would require an Act of Congress (and, in all likelihood, 60 votes in the Senate). But the voters in their wisdom were not interested in someone who had actually thought his way through the problem. They preferred someone who promised instant gratification via means that, in truth, he had no way of implementing.

So here we are. Virtually all Republicans on the Hill support regaining control of the border. Most of them support some form of a "wall," though not necessarily a continuous 2,500 physical barrier. The question is, how many of them are willing to go through another government shutdown over the issue? Probably not enough.

The bastards never had our trust.

But Trump did. And he can continue to have it if he stands tall on the wall.

If not, even he will lose it. And it will shatter his presidency.

Primary them first, and actually do a credible job at getting them out.

Like what the hell do people think they are going to get with a Democrat?
