Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel warned fellow Republicans that voters “are going to hold us accountable” if “we do not keep the campaign promises that were made,” during an interview Wednesday on “The Laura Ingraham Show.”
McDaniel predicted many Americans would be frustrated by the news a downpayment to start construction of the border wall would be dropped from a must-pass spending bill in Congress this week. Noting that building the border wall was “front and center” in Trump’s 2016 campaign, the RNC chair insisted that “our voters are going to expect us to act on it.”
“I know that our voters are going to hold us accountable in 2018 if we do not keep the campaign promises that we made,” McDaniel said. “And so, when you get to Washington, sometimes you forget what was said outside. And it’s important that we bring that back to Washington and let them hear what the voters expect of this government and this president.”
LifeZette editor-in-chief Laura Ingraham referred to reports of GOP leaders “sitting behind closed doors” and laughing at the prospect of building the wall, to which McDaniel warned those lawmakers are “going to lose the trust of our base.”

Yeah I will sit home. If the Republicans are going to do the Democrats bidding what is the point? I haven’t voted in a House race since 2010 because my congress creature is a tax, borrow and spend big government Republican and he thinks that cutting $3 million from a budget is making big progress, yeah he actually said that in a letter to me!
The ONLY thing the Republicans have done right since 2010 is Gorsuch, otherwise they have been complete failures begging to end.

If Trump does not fill his promises and if Trump ends up being like all the rest... I have no reason to vote ever again for anyone... My hope was/is in Trump and if he can’t do it, no one can under the circumstances the democrats dish out and the republicans aren’t ever going to do anything for us. The one thing Trump could do if he can’t do anything else... is to get term limits as law.. the founding fathers did not realize they’d make it a congressional career... and I’d like to see those career politicians sent HOME! That would make up for all the rest.. because if we got rid of all those politicians who have been there too long and forgot about the people... we’d have a new country again!
