I can, but it would be better to have a back up rechargeable battery to run a cpap and oxygen concentrator. We do have a generator that runs on gasoline, but of course there are drawbacks there.

I am not knowledgeable about batteries, solar chargers etc. So I am doing some research. I see a gizmo that one can sit down and pedal with bicycle type pedals and recharge stuff. Also I have found a solar panel/rechargeable battery combo that is advertised for a cpap.

Still my main concern is a way to run the well pump. Our system is not set up to be able to just flip a switch and go to a generator or battery. Hubby has no interest in doing anything about that, because he says, he can do that in a few minutes if it’s ever needed, so why bother.

Of course it would also be great to have a big propane tank and automatic backup generator that could be switched to solar or wind power and would run the whole house. LOL

Anyway. I got along many times in my youth without electricity, so I think I could do it again. I have rechargeable low discharge batteries of several sizes, and a solar charger as well as a charger that could be used with the bicycle thing, or plugged into generator etc.

I have a couple of fans that run on batteries, but the generator will run a window air conditioner, TV, Oxygen concentrator, refrigerator, lights, and freezer. We ran all that for a couple of weeks when my Dad was living with us and the power went out.
