Republican legislators want to keep popular Obamacare provisions for themselves and their staff.
House Republicans appear to have included a provision that exempts Members of Congress and their staff from their latest health care plan. The new Republican amendment, introduced Tuesday night, would allow states to waive out of Obamacares ban on pre-existing conditions. This means that insurers could once again, under certain circumstances, charge sick people higher premiums than healthy people.
Republican legislators liked this policy well enough to offer it in a new amendment. They do not, however, seem to like it enough to have it apply to themselves and their staff. A spokesperson for Rep. Tom MacArthur (R-N.J.) who authored this amendment confirmed this was the case: members of Congress and their staff would get the guarantee of keeping this Obamacare regulations. Health law expert Tim Jost flagged me to this particular issue.

I bet medical costs come down when our rulers/elites have some skin in the game, when the laws they pass apply to all. The elites and common man.
Guess what the elites bleed red as does the commoner, only difference between the elites and me, I am honest about my worth, I give an honest days work for honest days pay.
To be intemperate- two sayings come to mind

They are the elite society, free from the indignities we peons must suffer through. I hope their constituents remember that next year.
It is said that the Saudis have 5000 PRINCES among them...must be what keeps Monaco and Vegas gong huh?
We have ONLY 535 PRINCES of THE UNIVERSE and they manage to ‘shaft’ 325 million Americans ! Bring on the Tar n Feathers !
The insurance companies and medical profession can’t be allowed to police themselves anymore. That’s how we got the high medical costs we have now. You decide who polices them if not the gov’t.
“I bet medical costs come down when our rulers/elites have some skin in the game, when the laws they pass apply to all’
They’ll vote themselves a salary raise.
There is definitely a medical industry bubble right now, IMO. New hospitals popping up all over my neck of Florida, every other lady on my suburban block either a nurse or studying to be one, etc., etc.
Right away this part sounds false.
In fact one of the October 2013 shutdown Boehner house budget proposals included forcing congress to get their insurance on the exchanges, and was rejected (never put up for a vote)
Congress insurance was not affected by Obamacare because they had their ‘employer insurance’ much like with big companies.
So much for that old ‘no title of nobility’ concept.
These people are beyond belief. Can’t make the slightest sacrifice for their country.
“The insurance companies and medical profession cant be allowed to police themselves anymore.”
I talked with a couple of my friends recently. One had an outpatient knee surgery. The bill was exactly her deductible of $6000. The other had 7 stitches and the bill was $3800. My friend and I are lifelong fishermen, we made a pact to stitch each other up in the future. We can tie the best knots, lol. This doctor puts it right out there on this corrupt system. We the People need to be on fire over this.

ATTENTION, REPUBLICAN LEGISLATORS!IT IS NOT CONSERVATIVE TO PASS LAWS FOR US THAT DON’T APPLY EQUALLY TO YOU!
Why do we elect people that act this way? I really have come to the conclusion the most of the Pubbies in DC are just part of the Uniparty. Please pray for our country.
:::::::::FAKE NEWS:::::::::
Congress exempted themselves from Obamacare
More news about the whores in whoredom!
Sheesh...they won’t pass up an opportunity to cover themselves with s&^t!!
Back to the drawing board...
Maybe they would give us a good healthcare bill if they had skin in the game.
I don’t believe there is any such law that prohibits Congress from exempting itself from the laws it passes. They don’t pay into Social Security for instance.
Such an amendment should be the first one passed by a convention of states though. All Americans should be in the same boat and sink or swim together.
Speaking about Congress you said:
“These people are beyond belief. Cant make the slightest sacrifice for their country.”
Quote of the day as far as I’m concerned, maybe the month.
Fake news; Democrats are running ads and MSM stories nonstop to try to keep Obamacare.
