Ivanka Trump had been speaking for less than five minutes on Tuesday before the jeers started coming from the audience.
Given the topic and venue, they seemed almost inevitable. At the invitation of German Chancellor Angela Merkel, the First Daughter of the United States had come to Berlin for a roundtable discussion on the empowerment of women, a subject that was sure to clash with the sexist and vulgar remarks her father has made about women in the past.
Sure enough, when she referred to President Donald Trump as a “tremendous champion” of women’s rights, particularly the right to take paid leave after childbirth, a wave of titters and groans of derision spread through the hall at Berlin’s Hotel Intercontinental. The moderator, journalist Miriam Meckel, then interrupted Ivanka in order to grill her on her father's controversial remarks about women.
The booing — and the line of questioning — quickly made headlines in the U.S, overshadowing the event and the circle of powerful women with whom Trump shared the stage in Berlin. Among them were Queen Maxima of the Netherlands, Christine Lagarde of the International Monetary Fund, and Canadian Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland. None however likely winced quite as hard as Merkel when the crowd began to turn against Trump.
For the German Chancellor, Ivanka’s visit was a crucial chance to form a bond with an Administration that has been cold toward Berlin from the start. During his campaign for the presidency, Trump repeatedly used Merkel as a rhetorical punching bag – calling her refugee policy a “catastrophic mistake” and accusing the Chancellor of “ruining Germany.”(continued)

How about real issues? (Hint...Melania visited with young women in a crisis center in Mel Largo.) What about child trafficking and young girls being forced into lives as sex slaves? What about those African girls who were kidnapped from their school a few years ago? What about the rape, enslavement, and slaughter of Yazidi women?
The Prince and Princess do not belong in DC. They haven't spent much time in the real world. They've been handed a lot. I see no evidence that either on of them ever got "out there" in the real world or have done anything to truly understand the passion and commitment of the President.
She’s also pushing her dad to provide for some sort of paid daycare. Something about empowering mothers to work.....on another person’s dime.
Jared and Ivanka are creeping up on becoming billionaires as we speak. They are worth 3X as much as Mitt Romney. How much of that is due to their parents? Hard to say.

my guess is that Ivanka how truly useless and self absorbed the left is. Ivanka I am sure thought that she was safe from being criticized because pre- election the lefts tactic was to praise his kids and then talk about how it seems impossible that a man such as trump could have such great kids and be such a loser. after the election this changed when Hillary lost to a tactic of destroying everyone near trum. I think Evanka was caught off guard because she thought that in Europe she would not be gone after in the same way as in the states,

At some point rational thinking people watching this from the sidelines must wonder when these militant radicalized leftists and those on the right are going to enter into open warfare.
It’s starting to feel like just the right spark or action from the left (most likely) will push people past the point of civility then heads will get bashed and people will be left in pools of blood dying on the street. The next day will be about retaliation on those people by mobs and it will just escalate from there. Police won’t be able to control it so the National Guard will be called in but it will be too late. The fuse has been lit and it’s just a matter of time until it goes off again and again.
The thing I wonder about is what will happen after the war regardless of how many are killed. How can both sides ever co-exist in society again; at least for years? Will every city or every state have a leftist and a right side? Will separate forms of government form? Has this ever happened in history before and how was it dealt with? Our first civil war had distinct north and south regions but leftists and conservatives live across the street from each other; sometimes in the same home.
It’s going to be a mess.
