I pray it takes only one surgery but the optometrist told me not to bank on it. That’s one thing I like about him - - he tells it like it is.
If your eye’s only recently started “travelling”, they wouldn’t do surgery. They wait until it’s way out there before doing it. Mine’s been “travelling” for about 30 years - - a slow process. Mom had the same thing and was about my age when they did her surgery.

I had read ages ago that near-sighted people sometimes had a reversal as the years go by and I’m happy to report that it has...at least on one eye. When I drive, I just use a contact for my left eye and that works great!
I love a doc who tells the unvarnished truth. So few of them can manage that! You’re lucky! :)
