Former President Obama said Monday that if his checkered pre-politics life had taken place in today’s social media oversaturated world, he might not have been able to win the White House.
He repeated stories about his own drug use in his younger days, saying that marijuana use was “what teenage kids did at that age when I was growing up.”
And while he wrote about those experiences in his book, he acknowledged that if that behavior had been documented more thoroughly it might have derailed his political career.
“If you had pictures of everything I’d done when I was in high school I probably wouldn’t have been president of the United States,” Mr. Obama said as he spoke to students at the University of Chicago, making his first return to the public stage since leaving office in January.
He was asked about social media and how it can come back to bite young people in the future, and he cautioned them to be aware.

He graduated HS in 1979.
His not being a natural born citizen didn’t stop him from assuming the presidency,, so why should anything else?
This is surely true. And I don't really care what Obama’s grades were in college. (I care even less about the grades of more recent college grads. Grade inflation is rampant, especially at prestigious colleges. Also, even without the grade inflation factor, the truth is there's no objective way to measure the worth of an A from one good college against a B+ from another good college.)
What I DO care about is...did Obama apply to college as a non-US citizen? THAT would be relevant.
It would be great to see this fraud in prison and relentlessly waterboarded. One can dream...

If Trump continues to do as he was elected to do then there will be a government “shutdown,” or the Republicans will defy their Democrat supervisors and do what he wants done. The Democrats and most of the Republicans want the shutdown because they think they can derail this out-of-oligarchic-control president with it. The population will be so incensed that they will demand Impeachment. Or something. MSM will certainly be “incensed.” and if Trump understands(surely he does) and feels that it is all BS, then the shutdown will benefit the nation. I hope DJT provokes it and uses it.

I honestly doubt that a picture of Obama stoned with a bong in his hand would have derailed his bid for the presidency. Now a picture of him snorting coke off the stomach of one of his bathhouse buddies on the other hand . . . . .
