A shutdown like 2013 where non-essential employees were sent home with full pay would give the president and his staff a chance to review what parts of the federal leviathan within his jurisdiction can be 86’d.
Think of it as a real budgeting process, instead of yet another stop-gap, short-term “lick and a promise” from our feckless critters.

Oh yeah, and make them use the same furlough protocols they used four years ago when they treated it like a paid vacay from Uncle Sugar.
None of this, “Why, this time we’re ALL essential.”
And maybe the president can arrange a much longer vacation for these porn/clock-watching, lazy, partisan Brazil drones.
