Thanks for that. He points out what I’ve already known that in New York and much of the Northeast, the f-bombs are spoken so frequently, they are like “you know” in other parts of the country. So, naturally, the women do it too. Although on-air personalities (I was one many decades ago), you try to scrub the words out of your vocabulary for fear it might spill out on the air.
When Ted Cruz made his “New York values” comment, I believe this was the sort of thing he meant. Were I him, I would have pointed out that the NY governor claims Republicans are “not welcome” in his state but he’s never said any such thing about NAMBLA which is headquartered in New York. Instead of explaining what he meant, Cruz just walked it back which was a big mistake. No way he was winning New York anyway but he would have solidified his standing with many social conservatives if he had stuck to his guns.
