So guess which property owners are going to make up for other property owners tax cuts?

This fool needs to reign in the teacher’s union and their insane pensions

Say what you will about California, we do have Prop 13 - My property tax is around $1,200 a year.

Without Prop 13 there would be no way I could keep the home living on a fixed income.

So let's see.

I'll never qualify for the %5 qualification. I have no kids in school and I haven't for 16 years. And a large part of the $10,000 or whatever of my total property taxes that goes to "education," doesn't even go to my neighbors' kids. It goes to kids in Newark or really to their school administrators who p*ssed away Zuckerberg's $100 million gift.

Giving others a break, means an increase for me. Put me down as opposed.

In most states a $3000 property tax cut would be a big deal. In NJ not so big.

More BS from Trenton, another scam to sell you, another "tax cut" for your vote. Guano Guadagno is no better that Crispy Kreme and just another lying sack of crap in a long lineage of crap from Trenton.

I can't get out of NJ fast enough. 50 years is 49 too many.

So what will be the affect?

Higher % of $$$ and control of schools in Trenton, as Trenton regulations increase demands on expanded funding from the state.

What if state taxes were drastically reduced, producing drastically greater money left to the taxpayer, to which local schools could try to get more $$$ locally, and with that allowed only with local demands for greater accountability of the schools’ professional and academic performance. Oh, sorry, I forget NJ GOP is not that conservative.

In 2003 I visited my aunt and uncle in New Jersey. They had to pay $9,000 in property tax on their paid off home that they bought for $43,000 back in 1959. I do not know what they pay now. If they were not well off they would have to sell the house and be forced to move elsewhere due to greedy government.
