.
A true nut case!
.
Saw this a while back.. I gather it was abort the little one or give birth and let it die “of natural causes” and donate the organs.
rather selfless of the mother IMO
IMHO, there was no ‘right’ choice for this couple.
There were only a set of alternatives to consider, and I think they made the best choice, as hard as it was.
How much money is involved in this selfless act of courage? Apparently that’s of no concern either.
You can’t seriously criticize them for carrying the baby to term if you are against abortion. When a fetus has a fatal defect, do you abort it, let it be born only to die and be buried, or perhaps save a life with organ donations? Extremely difficult choice and one I’m grateful to never have to make.
The question I have to ask is: did they kill the baby or did it die on its own? If they killed the baby to harvest the organs then this is really bad. In what manner did this baby die before they started cutting her up?
Should she have aborted the child?
I cannot imagine having to live through that. They have my prayers and respect.
Minutes? Weeks? Months? Is it legal to kill this baby? But, I can see where this is okay, but it sounds like maybe a mercy killing.
They are to be admired. They let Gd decide the day of death for their very damaged child. We know a young man who was killed in a car accident last week whose families made the same decision to donate. In their sorrow they decide to help others.
Gd bless this family and hold the little one safe in your arms forever.
I don’t see this like that.
You got something crappy to say? Say it about these animals instead: Police: Man and girlfriend arrested in attempt to kill his baby in San Leandro McDonalds
A baby boy was born who, in my limited judgment as a layman, had a similar condition in that he was born with only a small portion of his brain. He was deemed by docs to be destined to be non-functional. Despite this prediction, his parents chose to save him and raise him. Baffling the experts, his brain developed much more than anticipated and, although handicapped, he is enjoying some quality of life to the pleasure of his parents.
back then, the ethicists tried to push the idea you could just kill the kids for their organs, until someone pointed out they were not brain dead, and allowing this would open the door to murdering people like Terri Sciavo for organs. Also, there is the problem of mis diagnosis.
I should point out most of these kids deliver prematurely, because the pregnancy often results in too much amniotic fluid.. because of complications often we deliver them early, for the mom's health.. not as abortions since we deliver the kid alive but he dies of his medical problems.
She did not become pregnant with the intent to harvest her daughter’s organs. I’m not going to try and get into her head, but the fact that she carried the baby to term was right. Abortion is always wrong. She will meet her daughter in eternity and maybe even the people who got the organs. The people judging this lady should be ashamed.
Dear one, we’ve been waiting for you
Thrilled beside ourselves that you’ve arrived
White coats came in, heads held low
Talked for a bit, shuffled outside
We closed the curtains
And held each other
And cried
We said hello
At the same time
That we said goodbye
The smallest and wingless
Leaving as soon as you’d arrived
But sadness is just love wasted
With no little heart to place it inside

Note the bias in the headline - HARVEST. Sounds cruel, when in fact DONATE would have been closer to the truth about what these parents did.
Did you even read it?
I doubt the headline tells the entire story. Secularists will emphasize the organ donation as if that is the only reason she carried the baby to term. Perhaps that is true; perhaps is it only half the story.
OTOH, if the parents are good Christians, would they cuddle the baby and name her and take pictures with their little son = if their only motive was to donate her organs?
Perhaps they will have her baptized before her natural death.
Words fail me here.
Sounds like the definition of evil to me ...
