MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski used a portion of an interview with former White House adviser Valerie Jarrett to pine for the days that Barack Obama was the head of the Democratic Party.

"Could you do a favor for me?" Brzezinski said at the end of her interview that aired Thursday morning. "Could you ask President Obama something for me? Could he come back and save the party and tell them what to do?"

Jarrett laughed and said that Obama right now is working to find "the Barack Obama 2.0s" and a new generation of leaders to take his place.

Jarrett also admitted that she had not anticipated the 2016 election outcome but said the Democratic Party should not focus on rebuilding itself and "creating a big and inclusive tent."

Brzezinski is an outspoken critic of President Trump and has said she voted for Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election.

Well Mika, Obama was at Dan Rooney’s funeral the other day and then disappeared back under his rock.

...the universities and the media.

They also still own a multitude unelected governmental bureaucracies.

iObama broke the Democrats, the DNC, and formed a shadow party

He did more than that; he broke the government of the United States. It no longer serves the people of the United States, it rules over them oppressively. It serves itself. Now, I'm not delusional in thinking everything was rosy before 0bama. It's been brewing since the 1930s. But under 0bama, all pretense disappeared. The Federal government no longer recognizes any restraints on its power. Just look at how much it is resisting Trump's attempts, modest as they are, to return it to even a semblance of accountability.

Sheeez, couldn’t agree with you more.

Trump supporters mostly are a passive bunch, law abiding and shy on confrontation beyond our keyboard, as in face to face. Many are 110. Ha!

What we have ducked out on, for many decades, is our fault and a scandal. Our ranks are thin, but somehow Trump turned some votes in 3 union states to get him those precious few electoral votes to defeat the enemy for four short years, God willing.

I fear Trump won those union states with a “cargo cult” message. He was going to reopen their closed factories, which is akin to promising island natives that the sky birds are going to come back and deliver unlimited quantities of cigarettes and chocolate.

Neither one of those things is going to happen.

He can deliver jobs and a productive economy based on cheap domestically produced energy, and all of his policies are geared toward that. But they will be new jobs with new skills.

None of those union workers signed on to bring to heel the Federal Leviathan. For them, it begins and ends with jobs.

Yes they do.

As I told someone else, that’s why I want Trump and then Pence over the next 16 years.

They’ll appoint many people to replace the idiots over time.
