Incredible how Fox News Corp. talking head Bill OReillyAmericas biggest, television talking head whos out there professing Obamas not a bad guythinks he can get away with pin-heading John Boehner for pandering to radio talk show hosts on amnesty.
Guess bloviating Bill never takes the time to tune in to radio talk show hosts where John Boehner has been persona non grata for some time.
Boehner finds no comfortable quarters from radio talk show giants Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity or Mark Levin, who continue to castigate the guy whos a dead ringer for the cowardly lion in the Wizard of Oz on their daily and nightly radio shows.
How can anybody who so openly panders to President Barack Obama by trying so hard to convince the world Obamas not a bad guy, just someone misunderstood talk about the House Speaker pandering to talk radio show hosts who so effectively skewer him?
Unbridled jealousy on the part of The Bloviator is the only answer.
Bloviating Bill, who called out radio talk show hosts as idiots back in 2008, has been at it for a long time.
Almost no one remembers Bill OReillys searing attack on Rush Limbaugh-style talk radio hosts in 2008. But it happened.
These idiots, the most popular conservative TV personality in America said. I mean, theyre misleading you. Theyre lying to you. As he explained it, most talk radio is conservative-dominated ideologues; Kool-Aid drinking idiots. Theyre rich guys with big cigars, he continued, causing many to believe he was singling out Limbaugh. Walk away from these liars, these right-wing liars, he warned. Walk away from them! Theyre not looking out for you. (The Atlantic, June 3, 2013). Looking out for you OReilly style is repeatedly trying to convince the unwashed that Obamas not a bad guy.
Gut instinct trumps Bill big time. Everyday people know that forcing the Fundamental Transformation of America could only come from a bad, and an even evil, guy.
Back in 2008, radios Mark Levin countered on The Bloviators bombast: These blowhards. You get arrogant, stupid people who get paid a lot of money to be on radio and TV to be arrogant and stupid. And one of them ... is on the Fox News Channel, my favorite cable channel. And he has a fledgling radio show that has no ratings, and hell be off radio soon because hes a failure. Its the non-factor: Bill OReilly. He went on to call OReilly a moron, phony journalist who is utterly unencumbered with information.
The temper tantrum of the Bloviator after having to spike his radio remarks from that nights television show as told by former Fox news staffer and tell-all book author Joe Muto is even more colorful:
The cigar and private jet stuff was a thinly veiled swipe at Rush Limbaugh, someone OReilly has never liked, but also a figure who had a lot of fans at 1211 Sixth Avenue, including Roger Ailes and Sean Hannity. When word filtered to the Second Floor that OReilly planned on repeating some of his radio rant on the TV show that night, the order came back quickly: Absolutely not. But OReilly put his foot down. Neither Stan Manskoff nor Bill Shine could dissuade him, and it took a phone call from Roger himself to put the matter to rest.
Bill took the call in his office, politely but insistently pleading his case to Ailes, but Roger held firm. Bill reluctantly agreed to toe the party line, excused himself from the call, gently hung up the receiver, then loudly yelled a string of expletives that could be heard all over the seventeenth floor. But after he got it out of his system, he spiked the Limbaugh reference from the TV show.
Its mostly the Limbaugh-defined low information voter who believes Obamas not a bad guy, and OReillys the uncrowned leader of the LIVs.
Is it any real wonder why OReillys again taking aim at radio talk show?
Were it not for Rush, Mark, Sean, Glenn, et al the entire population rather than only 50% of it would be low information voters by now.
Stupidity. Arrogance. Weakness. Just to name a few. I am surprised BO lasted as long as he did. Or maybe Murdoch did not want to pay his golden parachute contract penalty...who knows?
BO had another BIG problem. He was weak and pandered to the left WAY TOO MUCH. The big one was that when there was something STRONG that needed to be broadcast, he would always bring in some other person to “interview” and HAVE THEM SAY IT.
Glad you are gone BO. FOX needs a ‘Hannity’ in that slot. Someone who will not mince words, not be a political coward, and do some good exposing the criminal radicalism of the liberal left. In no uncertain terms.
Oh how the mighty have fallen!.................
“Glad you are gone BO. FOX needs a Hannity in that slot. Someone who will not mince words, not be a political coward, and do some good exposing the criminal radicalism of the liberal left. In no uncertain terms.”
Unfortunately, with the Murdoch “chlldren” in charge now at FNC, Hannity is probably the next to go. Give Fox a couple of years under their “marxist leadership,” and it will be just another PMSNBC. The will probably start Alan Colmes “reruns” soon.
Anyone who thinks less than about 80% of Americans are “low information” isn’t paying attention.
Has nothing to do with O’Reilly. Start with the educational system...
Read today of a suspicion that Sean would be next on the Murdock hit list. (Sorry I can’t recall the link.)
Gezezz...The arrogance of these people is disgusting. It's why I tuned them all out many years ago. I certainly did not need their advise.
Er advice....
OReilly was interesting to watch sometimes because he had a point of view that helped us understand what the elites were up to.
He was a resource that just told his truth whether we liked it or not. That was valuable to me . . . sometimes.
I’ll miss him for that.
Read today of a suspicion that Sean would be next
That was just some opinion by some Very Fake News NY Times reporter on MSNBC. Not real news.
I read it, don't worry about the link.......
OReilly always impressed me as a 60s Democrat in sensibilities who determined to make money as a talk show host and realized he couldn’t do that with Democrat views so he adopted a Conservative persona. He was not comfortable with that and would take positions he had not researched as to what a conservative would actually think and would sound quite wrong footed. Sometimes when he would get blowback he would reverse himself. Sometimes he doubled down and then when he realized that he was losing his audience he would shut up and refuse to talk about it any more. Often he sounded like he was taking the “devil’s advocate” position when he was saying what he knew his conservative audience wanted to hear. Perhaps I am wrong but I just don’t think O’Reilly is conservative in his own head and heart.
I watch only FOXBusiness. Can’t take ANY of daytime FOXNews.
The Varney, Cavuto, Trish Regan, Lou Dobbs schedule order gives me the the down-under with no distractions.
Dropped O’Really and Sean a year ago, but if Sean makes news I check it out. Too much noise and interruptis.
Hannity has his won problems but they are at least not problems of sincerity. Hannity simply does not understand some of the positions he has, 2Amd being prime. He doggedly misses the point when he is responding to callers, both those supporting his position and the antis . Sometimes he thinks he has told someone off skilfully when from the listener’s end he obviously does not understand what the caller is saying. He is effective, withal, and an asset on the radio. I just can’t listen to him.
The Public Education system has given us several generations of adults who have no familiarity with history, little ability to reason, no facts to reason about, and who think with the attention span of a 5 year old. That is why I believe the Republic is irredeemable. We can’t get it back.
Rush was gracious to BO today but I liked his moniker for BO referencing Mary Tyler Moore show.
