School districts have been assigned, and also have assumed, complete liability for anything that happens at school. Add to that, administrators’ terror at being ruled negligent subsequent to an event. Add to that, they are stupid in most cases.
Have all the kids bring a water gun to school and have a water gun fight. When the faculty intervenes, squirt them too.
Are they going to suspend all the students?
It is easy for me to say but she would probably be better off being away from a school that has to exist under such terrible leadership.

See my #27. There are kids who get blackballed for life. Some kid in a nearby town wrote an essay the teacher disliked, and the kid wound up with a 3-day observation in a psych ward. “Have you ever been involuntarily committed to a mental institution” please check the box!
One could argue, perhaps at the risk of being labeled an "alarmist", that those who believe our nation is fundamentally flawed have been and continue to be, intent on producing generations of easily manipulated "snowflakes".
It seems possible to gauge the success of that agenda over the past 30yrs simply by observing the attitudes and "demands" of today's college students. Today's snowflakes are tomorrow's voters - see the recent majority popular vote for an obviously disqualified presidential candidate.
While "Make America Great Again" is a worthwhile slogan, I would suggest "Take Back America" is more applicable.
In 1978, I took a real .22 rifle to school to use a a prop in a play. I left the bolt action at home so there wasn’t a question that it was safe. I carried it on the bus ride to school and back and kept it in my locker until time for the play. No problems at all. Imagine trying to do that today.

Now it’s not just hippies running the schools, it’s the generation indoctrinated by the hippies running the schools, with a generation already indoctrinated by them filling the younger teacher slots, so there is no dissent at all.
Sue, and then sue again. Get enough for a good college education of you can find any good college left!

Doubling down on stupidity is really stupid.
This happens because spineless administrators would rather not deal with the real problem students.
The liberals got on the track of making boys gender neutral, and doing away with firearms. This led to zero tolerance policies which means no common sense is allowed. That is why a pop tart chewed into pistol shape or a water gun is treated like a real firearm. The zero tolerance did away with fist fighting, no self defense is allowed- anyone in a fight is punished no matter the reason. In my opinion this is why the school shootings started, convinced they cannot solve issues with their fists the anger builds and builds into an explosive situation.
When I went to school most boys drove pickups to school, with gun racks with rifles in the racks in the back window. Lots of firepower in the parking lot every day, yet no one ever used one in anger. Boys did have regular fist fights, and they were broke up by adults but they were not treated as a big thing.
Things we thought were normal are now considered abnormal, just makes no sense to me because it seemed to work just fine. What they are doing now is not working but they refuse to admit that.
