Over 100 artists have signed an acoustic guitar for Planned Parenthood and for $10 you can buy a drawing ticket to enter to win the guitar. Among the artists to sign it are R.E.M.'s Michael Stipe, Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine, Feist, Fred Armisen, Sleater-Kinney's Carrie Brownstein, Mac DeMarco, Lady Gaga, Arctic Monkey's Alex Turner, My Morning Jacket's Jim James, The National's Matt Berninger, Perfume Genius, The War on Drugs' Adam Granduciel, Arcade Fire's Richard Reed Parry, Tom Petty, Andrew Bird, Queens of the Stone Age, Ryan Adams, Katy Perry, Ty Segall, Luna's Dean Wareham and Britta Phillips, Tobias Jesso Jr., Alison Mosshart of The Kills and The Dead Weather, Best Coast, Mark Ronson, Ted Leo, Interpol's Daniel Kessler, Nancy Sinatra, Gus Van Sant, and many others. 2: Surprised by one name: T-Bone Burnett. He has worked with many Christian artists over the years... he’s apparently had no backbone or simply been slowly turned by his environment :(

I actually think Tom Petty has a bunch of talent. I think Bruce Springsteen is the most overrated rock star out there, by far (his band was pretty good though).
Agree! Tom has talent and Bruce is the most overrated musician ever.
Gibson quality has declined dramatically as they have very little interest in guitars anymore. The Epiphone Division, however, is controlled by a guy who does care. I’d buy the Epiphone Masterbilt series guitars over any of the Gibsons. And have, in fact. I know of well-known artists who have Gibson endorsement deals and have to use them in public, but in private play the Epiphones.
Nancy Sinatra? So her rant against Trump was real? she said she didn’t do that. She signed off on killing babies, so she must be anti-trump?
The fact that murdering babies is bad and should be illegal - including between conception and birth - should be treated as a given.

I’m also a fan of Gary Clark, Jr. I’m not really surprised that he’s a lib, though, especially since he’s from Austin. I’m also disappointed with seeing Josh Homme on there. He also plays in Eagles of Death Metal with Jesse Hughes. Hughes has stated that he and Homme are both pretty right- leaning guys. However, I think they are more libertarian than conservative. At least, they are pro-gun and get it about Muslims.
Disappointed that Florence Welch is on this list. Florence & the Machine is one of the few modern groups that I like.

Like the other posters on this article, I only recognize about 6-8 singers (Katy Perry; Sinatra; Stipe; Lady Gaga; Tom Petty.
Who cares? Good rock and roll died in the 80’s so some of these signers are consigned to the “good old rock and roll hall of shame”.
