U.S. Customs and Border Protection sent a self-identified illegal alien with criminal convictions back to a family members home in Mexico on Tuesday. USA Today reports that Juan Manuel Montes, 23, is the first illegal alien who applied for temporary protection from lawful deportation to be sent back home after President Donald Trump assumed office. Montes first arrived in the U.S. at nine years old, and applied for a deportation stay under Barack Obamas Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA), twice.
Court records show he has four convictions: one for shoplifting in January 2016, and three for driving without a license, most recently three months ago, the outlet reports.
An agent approached Montes in Calexico, California, on Feb. 17, and he allegedly had no identification or proof of DACA status with him. According to USA Today, Montes had carelessly left those documents in someone elses car. Three hours later, he was reportedly back in Mexico at an aunt and uncles home in western Mexico.

Adios nightmare
Not sure who’s more saddened, the Democrats waving their voters goodbye or the never-Trump trolls losing one more chance to strut and preen about their superior ex-candidates.
So, apparently his DREAMs were driving illegally and robbing people. He can easily make his DREAMs come true back home.
Story makes the government sound like a *ick, but there not. Perfectly within in the legal framework and justified because a case like this triggers self deportations and lowers illegal entries.
I want to see and hear more MS13 gangs being sent back.
but you didn't...
Good riddance wet.
On which planet?
Refreshing to hear our AG Sessions coming out so strong against the criminal elements that have sprung up from south of the border with MS13 being the biggest. I think we will see a big push to round this riff raff up and get them out.
I just hope they do not waste our tax dollars prosecuting them and just deport or deep six as many as possible.
I am working this week at the old Firestone Tire plant at Santa Fe and Firestone in South Gate near downtown LA.
I have to travel from Hollywood to that location.
Talk about a complete third world $hit hole.
If you don’t have to deal with these decrepit, moronic sorry excuses for human beings, please feel obligated to congratulate yourself, because, I don’t care how this sounds, it’s like navigating through a cesspool of human excrement.
Welcome to the Monkey House. Good luck. We are all going to need it.
Illegal alien, deport.
California approved drivers licenses for illegals back in 2015 under AB60, and spent a year opening new centers and spreading the news to an estimated 1.4 million newly eligible.
If Juan went to public school, he had the required ‘identity’ to apply. There’s not really a good excuse for not having a driver’s license in California - 3 times.
Good riddance to this criminal rubbish.
But you didn't keep your nose clean, did you boyo?
The article wasn’t clear was he deported or did he voluntarily go? There are thousands upon thousands of very violent gang members here and they are bragging about sending this guy back? More impotent acts with a bullhorn.
Sounds like political punishment for being under Obamas wing...
This sounds partisan and stupid from the devils advocate pov. Priorities should be criminals and employers who knowingly hire illegals.. not your political opponents guy.
Sounds like our government is either too scared to get rid of the uber violent ones today, or maybe they keep them here for a reason..
However wasn’t it the NY politician who decreased crime by punishing minor offenders?
He will be back next week.
Why don’t we do the same thing with rabid dogs? Just export them to the countryside. Same logic as exporting criminals.
