Once you get comfortable and think that nothing can touch you, that is when you let the enemy in. They are generally let in to help you make advances against your rivals. And then you find them at your own throat.

Not a bad point, Bear.

The enemy looks a bit like the hero, but he is ruthless, unfocused or misfocused.

It could be the hunger for non wimps that makes Islam so fascinating to moderns.

And so the old Christian romantics may hwve had a point after all with their valiant knights and such?

One can revere heroes and worship God for their sake without committing the idolatry of actually worshiping them.
