The most competitive special Congressional election yet has arrived, and we will be providing returns live tonight right here. In addition to our district-wide totals, we will be analyzing county and precinct level returns. For the Democrats, the hope is that Jon Ossoff can pull out an outright win tonight- if he gets over 50% of the vote in this crowded field, hes in as the districts new Representative in Congress. If he falls short, then he will face off against one of four likely Republican opponents in a runoff on June 20th: Karen Handel, Bob Gray, Judson Hill, or Dan Moody. Polls close at 7pm and we anticipate at least early vote tallies to begin rolling in shortly thereafter. Refresh this page for the latest results tonight out of Georgia.
Wow. He sounds a LOT like Obama. Is that his real accent??
Any no one held to account.
Ossoff has the EXACT same speaking style / cadence as Obama. Scary.
Polls have to stay open late. “Data error’.
Whatever they have to do.

Are you listening to Ossoff speaking live on CNN now? It’s diabolical: He sounds EXACTLY like Obama. It’s really sickening.
Yay!
I live in GA-6. I’ve heard Ossoff speak a million times in the endless wave of TV ads he’s been running.
Easy solution: break the stack into four parts, run each part separately. Incorporate the votes from the three stacks that didn’t produce an error. And repeat. After the third pass, you have 98 percent counted, and a tiny little stack to hand check.
I tell you, new math has left us with a country full of people who can’t count.
I agree, but then again, CNN is always desperate.
MSLSD is probably live, focusing on this race as well, but I don't want to tune in.
Idjits don’t need to go through ‘hundreds’ of card to find the one with the error - solve it “Price is Right” style - divide stack in half & run each stack. Take rejected one and repeat dividing it in half each time until you isolate a much smaller stack to look through. smh
.. and just as I am typing this, Pajama Boy just dropped BIG from 50.3 to 48.6. It's over until June for that little prig, and then his five minutes of fame as the Dim's BIG HOPE is probably OVER! Back to the footy pajamas in his mom's basement.
48.6%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
If the Dems give him a prime-time speaking role at the 2020 convention, better watch out. (Obama wowed the crowd in 2004 and we know the outcome four years later.)
> data error from one of the cards means Fulton Co. will have to manually go through hundreds of cards to find the culprit.
If a card had a data error wouldn’t it be noted upon use, such as attempting to load results to/from it.
Why would it give no error indication upon use? Why would the error only be discovered later, and not be traceable to a particular card?
No doubt there’s checksums on the card, as well as a device identifier.
They’re throwing smoke bombs of BS.
Handel for the Win in June.....
Thanks for the update .... is this enough to call for the runoff?
“common core” = no common sense.
