By all accounts, Jared Kushner, the husband of President Trump's favorite daughter, has become an extraordinarily powerful man in the White House. To formally appoint Kushner a senior adviser, with a top security clearance, the president sought and received a Justice Department opinion declaring the White House exempt from federal anti-nepotism laws. That meant Kushner could have an official White House title to go along with his trusted-member-of-the-family influence.
But Kushner wielded plenty of power before joining the White House staff. For one thing, he is thought to have been behind the purging of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie from the presidential transition. Of course, Christie, tainted by Bridgegate, had problems of his own. But opposition from Kushner is said to have blocked Christie at key points during the campaign and transition.

Christie has too much baggage at the moment anyway. Doesn’t help he’s among the lowest respected governors in the US as well.
I’m not being disrespectful by any means, I hope.
But how is a man’s father’s actions, feelings or whatever exactly relevant and “Interesting” in this circumstance. If whatever it was is so important, by wasn’t it in the excerpt to begin with.
We need Jared and his bride to return to the private sector.
What do you mean, “We” paleface?
A long article is hard to excerpt. His father was a vengeful individual, as the article relates. Jared seems to have similar tendencies...all the while denying the same.
Not a big fan of either one.
I am not in any way a fan of Chris Christie, but I felt embarrassed for him when he was standing behind Trump at that speech. I am curious what was going on behind the scenes that made him (1) choose to stand there, and (2) give that unhappy look for so long.
He occasionally does something really good that all politicians should do but none of the others get around to (like pardoning the Marine for a gun "crime" last week), but just as often he falls far short of a basic minimum. I am glad to have him sidelined from day-to-day operations, especially if he still has a pipeline to give advice on special occasions during his occasional moments of brilliance.
IF his father hadn’t done what he DID, HE wouldn’t have gone to prison...nothing to talk about...
I don’t know the son from Adam, frankly. But I struggle to use a transmutation of the father to his son as a condemnation of something I think most rational people could see as being ulterior. Geez...think about what you are trying to say.
I’m sure somehow it might be feasibly possible to connect me genetically with Adam and his sons and then condemn me via guilt by association for the Cain and Abel thing.
Just not gonna buy it. Thank you.
I think it was lame that Mark Levin posted this article on twitter, because Levin isn’t a Chris Cristie fan.
Jared’s past (and present) should raise eyebrows if one is paying attention.
Wow. Wonder where York got all this dish? Crooked Democrat hires hooker to seduce his brother in law just to spite his sister. And that’s all Christie’s fault? The Kushners are very bad news.
I had the Kushners mixed up with Chelsea Clinton’s in-laws, the Medvinskys. Both families are Democrats headed by a crooked patriarchs who served time in prison. I would not touch either family with a 10 foot pole.
People he can trust!
Let's give him Jared Kushner with no strings attached. I think President Trump cares even more than we do about keeping his daughter's husband in good standing.
The guy is Trump's trusted advisor, his eyes and ears along with Ivanka, and they aren't going anywhere. So the sooner some accept that and move on the better. The funny thing is, there is no policy moves that Trump has made so far that implies a leftward tilt, as what one would assume would happen if Jared's “so called” beliefs where influencing Trump.
Trump is his own man, the center of activity, his management style is like a vortex, with him in the middle, calm, cool and collected, while outside everything is churning and looks like confusion but is actually everyone else having to keep up with him. So far he has made quite good decisions IMHO.
I disagree. Strongly. Trump may trust Ivanka & Jared but they are VERY liberal Democrats. There are plenty of honorable people to advise Trump on how to fix the gov’t, & the other problems in this country, by implementing CONSERVATIVE principles.
He is not going to get that from I & J.
“We need Jared and his bride to return to the private sector.”
I’m on board with that.
