I understand that and you must also realize that one of the ways Democrats undermine a district like Newt’s old district is to infiltrate, long term, into the elections process. Clerks, Supervisors, Captains, etc.

I lived all my life except for service in that district until 2003 when my whole family gave up on it. Thousands and thousands of new Section 8 movement, old worn out houses interspersed among million dollar McMansions that were Dinking their interest-only loans and reaping deductions - great thing, right up until the bust and the bottom fell out of their “investments.” They no longer were “investments” but albatrosses. I watched it over a long time.

I moved up to Pickens and out of Cobb where I lived among majority Republicans and I joined the voter volunteer staff. I saw the beginnings of what they did in Cobb there too.

Finally, I’d say that an honest and trustworthy person does not leave that much sensitive and restricted data “in a car on Saturday night.”

http://www.ajc.com/news/state--regional-govt--politics/breaking-voters-personal-data-risk-cobb-theft/FYDyqME5bqLG4ip4snYLwO/amp.html

While the file includes drivers’ license numbers, addresses and other data, it does not include Social Security numbers, Eveler said.

But, she said, “the poll book that was stolen did have a flash card with a voter list on it. But, it does require some knowledge or expertise to use machine to retrieve the information.”

Cobb County Police and the State Election Board are investigating.

I found this additional statement revealing:

“We have opened an investigation, and we are taking steps to ensure that it has no effect on the election tomorrow,” Kemp said in a statement. “I am confident that the results will not be compromised.”

what is it with high level people leaving important equipment or information in their vehicles unattended?

This and that lady with the laptop recently.

These people should be immediately fired for stupidity and negligence int heir duties to their job

Wow.

I had not heard of that, before now.

Sounds very, very significant.

Not easy to password protect and encrypt paper ...

Not easy to password protect and encrypt paper .

But the volume and weight makes it impossible to steal

We should INSIST on paper ballot for ALL elections henceforth. I am perfectly comfortable waiting longer for results if the fraud is greatly reduced as a result.

Breaking: Voters’ personal data at risk in Cobb theft

A few theories (conspiracy, or otherwise, this occurred in My Precinct and affects My polling Place) -

1. Why would anyone steal this equipment unless they knew what it was and what it was used for?

2. How easy would it be to use this equipment and tap into the electronic voting network used in Georgia?

3. Given that DHS under emperor Hussein 0bama "attempted" to hack the Georgia voting system, is this a follow-up to ensure their success next time?

As soon as I heard of this, before the words were out of the "reporter's" mouth, that was my thought! If they can steal this election, it will be a MAJOR coup for the dems and their "Deep State".

“State officials are investigating the theft last week of equipment from a Cobb County precinct manager’s car”

Maybe I don’t understand, but must ask why was this equipment in the Cobb County precinct manager’s car in the first place. Why isn’t important data handled like money and transported by secure couriers, and not by officials’ POVs?

There are sloppy persons everywhere.

I had a relative who was a top-level Democrat and ran the elections bureau in a large county. They used to send him people who could not hold down a job anyplace else in America, and make him pull-off two elections a year with that staff.

"This is Ward Chairman Diebelfunk's drunken brother-in-law. He works for you now." Would not be surprised at ANY kind of foul-up when you employ such people.

It would barely be bigger than the laptop!

Perhaps for the county, but “Polling equipment containing information on every Georgia voter has been stolen”

The applications capable of holding 7 million voter records do not generally run on laptops. Wonder what really happened here.
