I hate it when my fake missile shows up instead of the real one.
That’s what I call a North Korean nose job!
"... it's a soviet SA-5, it's meant to look like that."
Another comment at that website states:
“Its a Soviet era S-200 missile. The rockets with the tilted nose cone are booster rockets. They’re designed to break away from the missile seconds after launch and the tilted cone facilitates aerodynamic separation.”
Since so much else of North Korea is a sham, I wouldn't have any trouble believing these missiles are too.
Sooner or later someone is going to know the truth about the size of your rocket.
Actually, I could see how understating the size of ones rocket could make more sense...strategically that is.
Everything the world is allowed to see in North Korea are just views of the world’s largest Potemkim Village
The only missiles the Norks can manage to keep around are the non-’splody ones.
Reminds me of the old Soviet May Day parades. The huge missiles would parade through Red Square, one after the other...after the other...after the other...in a seemingly unending chain. Later the public learned that “all these missiles” were really only a few that, once they passed in review, would be scurried around out of sight to rejoin the line and come passed Kruschev et al again. This is what led to the Democrat lie of “The Missile Gap.”
TPTB at the time for whatever reason, be it not wanting the Soviets to know we were on to them, not wanting to divulge our true capabilities or whatever, let this lie stand for several years.
IMO, without the “Missile Gap” lie, Kennedy would never have been elected.
Nah. They were just “concept missiles”. Just like all those phony cars Detroit never really intends to make, and couldn’t if they wanted to.
It’s easy to tell the fake ones from the real ones: the fake ones don’t explode as biggly as the real ones.
