New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who is also an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, believes New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning is lying about his role in an alleged memorabilia scandal.
Serving as a guest host on Friday's Boomer & Carton radio show for WFAN, Christie spoke about Manning's situation by calling him a "liar" and "he got caught," per Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News.
Kaja Whitehouse and Bruce Golding of the New York Post reported Manning was involved in a scheme selling fake game-used memorabilia, with court documents showing the Giants quarterback sent an email to equipment manager Joe Skiba that read, "2 helmets that can pass as game used. That is it. Eli."
The Giants issued a statement through their attorneys denying the allegations made against Manning, noting the "unscrupulous memorabilia dealer and his counsel ... has been seeking to leverage a large payday."
Can we declare him a Democrat?
Couldn’t have said it any better!!!!
this guy Christie is a real mess. The NYG play in a stadium in his state and contribute God knows how many millions to their economy. He attacks them. For something that is 100% none of his business. If I were Tisch and Mara I would pull them out of there back to NY where they belong.
Maybe now we can understand why the President gave this guy the heave-ho.
Wow, did not know that. Yes, he is a blowhard & just an unsavory human being. Talk about biting the hand that feeds you, not to mention commenting on what is only an allegation. Amazing!
...he’s a die-hard Cowboys fan....he can’t stand the Giants.
The entire sports memorabilia industry is a scam. 90% of the stuff isn’t what they say it is. If the helmets genuine autographs the people should consider themselves lucky.
College teams only get nailed for this if the players get paid. Feeding fraudulent crap into the memorabilia industry without paying the players is SOP.
...not according to the Democrats in Nj....they keep spending millions of tax payers money in their muck raking....
The funny part about that quote is that when you get right down to it Heinlein was an entertainer.
Is this for real? I'm all for politicians being real and honest, but in New Jersey, this is a a plain stupid thing for any politician to say....
Oh yeah, he sits with owner/GM/head coach Jerry Jones in his suite whenever the Cowboys come rolling through MetLife stadium. Camera’s even caught him jumping up and down like a kid, or Chris Christie, getting a candy bar.
Christie is just angry that the Giants took it to his team and exposed them as the frauds they were not once, but twice last year.
Now Chris, if you could please push away for once and make yourself useful and give us the traffic reports at the top and bottom of every hour please...
