Thats straight line. Throw a curve or two in and everything changes. So Dodge builds a drag racing car, which apparently it does really well, so then everyone says, "Well okay, but let's see it on a track with turns."
Okay, sure. But how well will the R1 do vs. the Demon on a track with turns if we add in three passengers?

They're not drag racers or track racers. They are both street racers. No roll cage on the Demon. No fire suppression. The R1 has a pussified throttle to keep idiots from throwing themselves off the bike under acceleration. They are both great machines but on the streets - city or country - motorcycles are hp/lb faster machines because of their ability to lean into the curves. It's physics.

I've never been able to talk anyone into getting on the back of my FZR which is the predecessor to the Yamaha R1 except for my youngest daughter and she's the crazy one in the family. Skydiving, rock climbing and going fast just for the sheer thrill of it!
