The fragile students say VP Pence makes them feel “unsafe.” Pence is the former governor of Indiana.

Neither Notre Dame nor the Vice President should cave to the sniveling brats. Why continue to let the Left win their political correctness war. The VP has Secret Service protection and even though that once great agency is a shadow of its formal self, the Leftists should think twice about messing with them.
The simple answer is to tell them they are no longer invited to the ceremony, that their diplomas will be mailed to them (postage due), and their transcripts will have a stamp on them saying they refused to be honored because they could not listen to someone who might have held a differing idea.
The transcript will warn the smart employers.

Safety in any endeavor is much overrated. In the food chain, little fish are eaten by bigger fish.
Piranhas kind of invert that size thing, especially when they all gang up on the larger fish.
Aquariums are very specialized environments, and do not reflect reality for the vast preponderance of the fish in the world. The fish therein are totally dependent on the good graces and devoted attention of the keeper of the aquarium.
How are these snowflakes going to survive in a real world let alone work at real jobs? I doubt employers are going provide safe spaces and coloring books for these people just because some part of their job makes them uncomfortable.

I felt unsafe when I encountered a grizzly bear and was only carrying a .22 rifle. I felt unsafe as I stepped over a long “stick” on a trail and then realized it was a rattler and irritated about my presence. In contrast, I have been in the same room as some of the most evil people alive, including Barack Hussein, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and even Hillary Clinton, but their mere presence never made me feel anywhere near as unsafe as their access to power did.
As for the snowflakes who feel “unsafe” at the idea of being near Mike Pence, that experience is the best thing that could happen to them. They need to grow up, maybe even be exposed to new ideas - such as the truth.
I have a better idea...send them to a no go zone in England,Sweden,Belgium,or France. Let’s see how they do there
