A new report by the OECD reveals that Germany is second only to Belgium when it comes to high tax rates in developed countries worldwide.

The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) reported on Tuesday that Germany has the second highest tax rate after Belgium, when comparing 35 developed countries around the world.

The OECD calculated each country’s tax wedge — the gap between what employers take home in pay and what it costs to employ them, including personal income tax and social security contributions. Germany had a tax wedge for single, childless workers of 49.4 percent, behind Belgium at 54 percent. That means nearly half of a single person’s income goes towards taxes and social security contributions in Germany.

Meanwhile, the OECD average for singles was 36 percent. Hungary had the third highest tax burden at 48.2 percent.

Large tax wedges can indicate whether workers might see less incentive to work given the high burden of taxes, and could instead choose to take under the table pay or government benefits. …

Expend the burden to worsen considerably with 2+ million “refugees” to support.

They will just tax themselves more, like California. Clearly Germans have no desire to stop the government.

Down the crapper it goes.

Meant ‘Expect’, not expend.

IMNSHO, Germany ‘pushed’ for the EU as it didn’t want to shoulder the burden of the wall coming down.

So - I reason - that Germany is now close to getting what they couldn’t get in 2 WW’s, control of Europe, much like Japan was heading towards Asian domination when they were buying up Hawaii and real estate in the US mainland.

The ‘new’ way to wage war and win - overwhelm your enemy with hordes of refugees and a few years of ‘hiding’ out and popping kids out like rabbits.

Of course, when the Irish & Italians were at the ‘bottom’ of the barrel in the US, they were also fielding families the size of ‘litters’.

That’s what happens when your government leans farther left than the Tower of Pisa, your national birthrate is in a flaming nosedive, you’re turning a blind eye to ‘refugees’ with 6 kids apiece and you DON’T have the massive middle class of America to support it all.

“Germany had a tax wedge for single, childless workers of 49.4 percent, behind Belgium at 54 percent. That means nearly half of a single person’s income goes towards taxes and social security contributions in Germany.”

I wonder how much single, childless American workers with good jobs pay if you add up all of their taxes. No Earned Income Credit, deductions/tax credits for children, often no mortgage deduction because they see no point in owning a home...

I see a point in the near future where pet care costs will be deductible, because there is increasing insistence on treating pets as human children. In the original “Planet of the Apes” (I’ve never seen the re-makes), I believe apes were trained originally because all of the pets died; there are also few (if any) human children throughout most of the series.
