Admitting that Jesus never said things like the Koran's later violent verses = extolling his virtues?
It's not my fault that you cannot even admit a simple truth.
You also can't admit you made a mistake in using Ezekiel's vision to say that the Old Testament tells people to murder.

There is one thing I would like you to try to make at least a feeble attempt to understand. It is that even verses in the Old Testament that mention going to war are meant for specific situations against specific people or nations for a specific time.
The Koran's instructions to tax, rape, and murder infidels is an open ended command.

It's clear you don't WANT to know how the Old Testament is understood, you want to attack and do nothing but attack. You have given every indication that your mind is closed on this subject.
Therefore, after my next paragraph I will follow Jesus' advice at Matthew 7:6 from here on out.

If you need to consider it a win to continue feeling superior, have at it, but know this: A person who is unreasonably belligerent may have the last word, but only because no one in their right mind wants to continue being treated in that manner.

What hogwash. I give you five verses, you interpret ONE of them in a way that ignores what was said by the deity in question, and you claim some sort of triumph. You never answered any question of mine even after I answered yours. At least be honest in your attempt.

And yes, I know how the O.T. is “understood” - conveniently. Things are literal when it is convenient. They are figurative when it is convenient. They were only meant for that period of time when it is convenient. They are only supposed to apply today when it is convenient. This is one of the reasons that there are dozens of Christian sects, all claiming to be the right one, of course. There are many different Islamic sects, too. While one sect might take some Koranic verses literally, others do not. You do know it works like that in all religions, right?
