I suspect something truly odd may happen.

Meyer (DDG 108) and USS Michael Murphy (DDG 112) and the guided missile cruiser USS Lake Champlain (CG 57).

Now, facing the NK generals instead of a threat just from the US, they have a clear and present danger with 150,000 ChiCom Spec Ops Troops with backing from our Navy.
Let their intel spooks intercept some messages between the ChiComs and US Navy re calibrating targets and when to pull the plug.
The NK generals/leaders just might remove fat boy for us and the rest of the world.

Those subs can be within 7500 miles of NK targets and can devaste NK in minutes with their Trident Missiles.
Each Trident missile has a range of up to 7,500 miles (12,000km) and is accurate to within a few feet. Their destructive power is estimated as the equivalent of eight Hiroshimas.
Another article says that China has moved another 1,000 troops to the border not 150,000. It is possible that they already had thousands there but that was not just achieved.
