If every other egregious example of a male student denied due process after being accused of sexual misconduct gets ignored this one should not be.
A male student who was accused of sexual harassment committed suicide just days after the University of Texas at Arlington ignored its own policies in order to punish him. The accused students father, a lawyer acting as the administrator of his sons estate, is now suing the school for violating his sons Title IX rights.
College administrators, as well as members of the media and legislators, would do well to remember the name Thomas Klocke. Klocke, a straight male, was accused by a gay male student of writing anti-gay slurs on his computer during a class. Klocke vehemently denied the accusation, and administrators who investigated the incident acknowledged there was no evidence to support the accusers claims, yet Klocke was still punished.
The accusing student, who is being sued by Klockes father for defamation, claims that in May 2016, Klocke made a comment during a class about privilege, and then proceeded to open his laptop and type gays should die into his web browsers search bar. The accuser (who is not being named because Watchdog was unable to contact him for comment) claims he typed into his own browser search bar, Im gay.

I thought all the students at UTA were either Mexican or Muzzis. I’ve never run across any other kind.
I attended UTA. It is a very dark place... The professors will call a student’s political beliefs into question.
Very dark.
My brother and daughter are both UTA grads. Turned my daughter into a flaming liberal.
Shouldn’t he be Charged in the Death of this Student??
There is a case almost like this where a girl pretended to be dead and the boy committed suicide, they ARRESTED AND CHARGED HER!!!
What do you call a gorgeous young lady at TWU?
bkmk
This story breaks my heart.
Lipstick lesbian?
The article makes a good case that Klocke was f’d over by UTA, but casts no light on why he killed himself, instead of confiding in his lawyer father, who might have been helpful.
A visitor, perhaps?
Yep.
I hope the family of the dead student sues UTA and the homosexual student into oblivion. Then every faculty member involved in causing the student’s death should be immediately fired and NEVER hired again by any organization. Make them pay a huge price and recognize they have blood on their hands. Once again we see that homosexuality kills.
The dead student’s crime was he was a straight white male, a capital offenses in modern American universities.
This story isn’t on any other media source.
Nowadays, all you have to do is claim to be part of one of the “protected” groups (Black, LGBT, Islamic, etc.) and anything you say is considered gospel truth. This is a terribly sad story and my heart foes out to the Klocke family. This may sound harsh, but in my own experience, I have found gay men to be very frequently angry and downright hostile. I hope the accuser reaps his just reward.

:-( Suicide is never the answer. Condolences to his family. RIP, young man.
UTA and others are going to be in court for sometime into
the future if all this is true as presented.

On April 4, 2017, Chaiken & Chaiken, P.C. , joined by Friedman, Suder & Cooke, P.C.
filed a lawsuit against the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA), alleging that school
officials unfairly mishandled a students misconduct complaint against another student,
and ignored the rights of the accused student to a fair review and response to the
allegations against him. The lawsuit charges that despite knowing the matter involved
Title IX issues, the two UTA officials handling the complaint circumvented UTAs mandatory
Title IX investigation and hearing procedures. These mandatory procedures require a
fair and impartial investigation by a Title IX investigator, and a hearing
before a neutral hearing officer.
The lawsuit further charges that upon circumventing these mandatory procedures, the same
two UTA officials severely punished the accused student on an immediate, interim basis,
without conducting a proper investigation. Ultimately, a few days after the complaint
was made, and again without a proper investigation, they chose to punish him on a
permanent basis. Inexplicably, they did so despite acknowledging in emails to each
other that there was no evidence to support the allegations against him, or the punishment
they meted out, nevertheless. Tragically, the embarrassment, stress, mental anguish
and damage to reputation suffered by the accused young man, and the fear that this unfair disciplinary sanction would prevent him from attending
graduate school or finding a job, caused him to take his own life.
Complaint Filed Against Univ. of Texas at Arlington
This important case serves to remind us that fairness in disciplinary proceedings on
college campuses is not a given, even when the colleges policies and procedures say
otherwise. Those who are accused of misconduct on campus find themselves in the midst
of a true legal crisis with devastating potential consequences, if they do not navigate
the intricacies of campus disciplinary procedures in a manner that invokes their
rights to fairness. Only when students and their families understand this reality,
and the need to take specific action to invoke the rights that are designed to protect
fairness in campus misconduct cases, can tragic consequences be avoided.
This case report and complaint was sent to Alice from Attorney Kenneth Chaiken.
Thank you for bringing this terrible injustice of an innocent life now gone to my
attention. For inquiries about this case contact: Kenneth Chaiken 214/722-9494

There’s a lot to this story that doesn’t pass the smell test. Normal individuals don’t just off themselves because they’ve been treated unfairly, especially if Dad’s a lawyer and there were the sort of clear violations of procedure the story claims.
