Aww...hope the rain comes early or late so you can have the cruise-in. Sounds like fun. It would be more fun at a drive-in, but there aren’t many of those around any more.

Just saw the weather report and I’m not going to bother spiffing up the car for Tues. There will be plenty of other cruise-ins and car shows to go to later.

There’s a drive-in between our town and the one just north of us and there have been a couple of cruise-ins in the past. We didn’t go to either one of them because of the gravel parking lots. A few people we know went to the first one but not the second one because their cars got so filthy with dust. HELLO ..... that’s why we didn’t go! Saw that coming a mile away.

Good evening, radu...((HUGS)...hope you had a nice, not too hot, sunny day.

Mostly overcast, but lots of melting. And a very quiet day. No filing, but lots of little projects....whittling away on “the list”.

Good evening, mountainlion....that’s a lot of wind. Glad you can see green.

We are still dealing with nights in the 20s, so melting and freezing continues.

The patch on the lawn without snow is greening up. d:o)

Patton seems to have never been speechless.

Hey there, Kathy.
Sounds like you had a nice, productive day. Finally some quiet time to get a few more things checked off your list.

It was quite nice here today. Pretty warm but a stiff breeze made it comfortable outside. Visited Aunt Clara for a bit this afternoon and that was pretty much it for “excitement”. LOL

LOL! Gotta use some common sense even if you do want to show off your wheels! Wonder they didn’t get rocks thrown up by someone else’s tires!

Well, if ya can ‘t go to the cruise-in, I hope you get a really nice rain! I’ll be jealous! :)

As big a pain as it is to make those cars gleam, especially when one has a bum back, you better believe the condition of the grounds where a show will be are a top consideration. There really isn’t that much gravel at the drive-in but enough I guess a car tire flinging some would be another concern. People usually drive slowly enough it shouldn’t be too much a problem though.

We could use the rain so I shouldn’t complain. Still a little dry here. Hubby said there was a large fire just north of us this morning but he doesn’t know what it was. He said it was too big for a house fire and looked more like someone was burning brush and it got away from them.

I wish y’all could get some more good rain there. We don’t need y’all dealing with a lot of wildfires this year.

He had another mentor going way back to his boyhood and continuing for years.

Col. John Singleton Mosby was a regular house guest at the Pattons. After the war Mosby was a lawyer for the Union Pacific Railroad.

Patton loved to listen to his stories and Mosby must have had a lot as he is considered the most successful partisan ranger ever.

We had a fire today, too. A business that recycles old tires caught on fire and black smoke could be seen for miles! We live quite a few miles east of it and we could see the smoke. There were lots of first responders who were working to put it out, but the high wind was making it hard. Pretty sure it’s out now, though.

Yuck. Tire fires are hard to put out and they sure stink up the area. I gather you’re far enough away that the smoke didn’t reach you?

I didn’t realize FL was still having so much trouble with wildfires until this evening when they did a report on the news. Not fun for those folks at all.

I have a Friday appointment at my pain center for my Mom...I’m hoping against hope that they can help with injections. Might be too much to hope for, but worth the effort.

The fact they suggested you to take her in should give you hope aplenty. If they didn’t think there was a chance they’d do it, they wouldn’t have made the appointment. It would be great if they would do it Friday while you’re there.
