Jewish student leaders at Tufts University “are working intensely” to combat a surprise boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS) resolution initiated by an anti-Israel group for a vote days before Passover, the campus chaplain told The Algemeiner on Friday.
“Yesterday, without any forewarning, Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) put forward this resolution, to be voted on by the [Tufts Community Union (TCU)] student senate this Sunday night,” said the campus Hillel’s executive director, Rabbi Jeffrey Summit, who also serves as a research professor in the department of music and the Judaic studies program.
“The Hillel Jewish community is deeply disturbed by this vote, and by the way the resolution was brought so close to Pesach, at a time when many of our students are home with their families, readying themselves for the holiday,” Summit said.

The fact that the college allows a student group calling for ‘Justice in Palestine’ in their group name implies that it’s already a hostile environment to Jews.
Student goverment. Every bit as relevant as my granson’s Den Mother. Wait. Less relevant a Den Mother. She can actually affect someone.
Tufts is more and more anti-Semite each year
As Islamism spreads Jews will more and more get the short straw in society. While Jews were busy scorning Christians, and sometimes the reverse, this worse thing snuck up on both of them.
It wasn’t Christians who were nuts about Jesus who let this menace in. It was those who stopped caring and made room for rank unbelief to take over who did. And the menace won’t stop with Jews. It wants to hear nothing about Jesus either. It hates Easter and Passover equally.
If Tufts goes through with this, they should reject everything that Israel has ever developed or produced.
No more Intel processors, I doubt that Tufts does much with agriculture, so that wouldn’t matter much. Lots of medical research would need to be ignored, because it’s “tainted by The Jew.”
What I find interesting is that leftist groups and universities support these anti-intellectual hate groups that espouse exactly what the concept of education is NOT supposed to be.

Tufts is run by self hating left wing Jews who censor anything they don’t beleive in. The Rabbi is ok, not an ADL type sellout. The professors were spewing the White Privilege crap 20 years ago, but of course they were all white themselves. Oh, I would love to see all Federal funds pulled from these Fake educational institutions.
How ‘bout they shut down the make believe student political orgs and increase their workloads.

There are a couple of Mediterranean non-jews that are proud anti-semites in the dental school. They’re on a mission.
My alma mater. Just another reason not to give money. Tufts has a large contingent of Jewish students. There was not even a antisemitic so called Palestinian group on campus when I was there in the late 80s.
