It does make a difference who launched the attack.

The attack puts the world on notice that the U.S. will respond very forcibly if anyone uses Chemical weapons. And if Syria used them, they just got lesson in how quickly we can degrade their military assets.

But if Jihadists used them, then they got the response they hoped for a major attack on a Syrian base. And it assures them they can prod the US into attacking others. The evidence points to Syria though.

In the past, we have often had communications intelligence. I'm guessing we did this time too. I.e US gets benefit of the doubt.

After everything we've seen from the U.S. intelligence community over the last couple of months, I don't know if it's sad or comical (or both) to see so many Freepers willing to accept their findings on ANYTHING at face value.

“And it assures them they can prod the US into attacking others. “

Of all the BS being spewed regarding President’s Trump decision to strike & destroy this single airfield this is the worst I’ve read thus far. To suggest ISIS can prod the US into attacking for their benefit is laughable at best.

To make such an assertion valid the Israelis would also be supporting ISIS since they agree President Trump’s surgical strike was the right response. Who in their right mind believes Israel supports actions that benefit ISIS?
