Over the course of my life, I’ve watched the Left evolve from a counter-culture phenomena into something just short of authoritarians comfortable with putting their enemies into gulags.
When I was a kid, the Left engaged in discourse, as I watched on William F. Buckley’s Firing Line. All of the big libs showed up to engage Mr. Conservative.
Then, lots of my college-age peers discounted America by feeling that no culture could be better than another. All things were relative.
By the 90s, media jumped in with barely concealed support for dems and opposition to conservatives.
Reverse discrimination was a topic for discussion in the 90s. It didn’t stand to reason that a white or Japanese student should take a back seat in admissions or hiring based on race. Today, it is accepted practice.
As colleges loaded up with the unqualified, many of whom failed to graduate, it was all blamed on whitey.
Black dirtbag lives matter. At the risk of your life, don’t say that blue lives matter.
And finally, we are at the point where college profs can openly promote the murder of the President because DJT isn’t a social warrior.
The Left believes whatever it does is moral. Since conservatives stand in the way of world-socialism, all forms of violence against conservatives must be moral.
I am not kidding, the next time the Left assumes power, there will be open talk and action about what to do with their class enemies . . . us.
It is the natural progression of authoritarian government that cannot be avoided. Think Germany, Soviet Union, North Korea, China, Cambodia . . . all were/are leftist authoritarian regimes and models for today’s American Left. /rant
