would like to express my gratitude to Jared Kushner for reviving interest in my 2006 book, The Price of Admission. I have never met or spoken with him, and its rare in this life to find such a selfless benefactor. Of course, I doubt he became Donald Trumps son-in-law and consigliere merely to boost my lagging sales, but still, Im thankful.
My book exposed a grubby secret of American higher education: that the rich buy their underachieving childrens way into elite universities with massive, tax-deductible donations. It reported that New Jersey real estate developer Charles Kushner had pledged $2.5m to Harvard University not long before his son Jared was admitted to the prestigious Ivy League school, which at the time accepted about one of every nine applicants. (Nowadays, it only takes one out of 20.)
Wrote “#blacklivesmatter” x 100 on his paperwork? Works at stanford apparently
Oh, so a lefty rag which could never find anything wrong with the Manchurian Candidate Obama wants to know about JK.
Yeah, that’s some amazing and objective journalism.
If you are a tick....
They are playing on Trump’s loyalty ..bringing the family in - not good when politics and foreign policy , are concerned ...
Wut??? They ignored a similar question about the Dalai Bama

I was a less than stellar high school student as well. A short 22 years later, I graduated from college Summa Cum Laude.
Not bad for an idiot like myself, I’d say...
Money talks, less than stellar walks.
Let me guess....
I have to admit, though, that I would not be dressed like that in Iraq. The vest, yes, but the rest of the outfit would be a lot more casual if not downright blue collar.
I do, however, think it's fair to point this out when addressing claims that Jared Kushner is some kind of brilliant guy whose role in the Trump administration is indispensable. He's not a brilliant guy, and if he wasn't married to Trump's daughter most people here would never hear of him.
That photo really makes him look like a world-class goober, though -- doesn't it? LMAO.
My husband was the same. High school bored him and he was too conservative to fit in there.
He has a doggoned STUPID look on his face.
After 22 years you probably already had a PhD. from the School of Hard Knox.
Another example of people expecting JUSTICE. Ha, Ha.[
In one of the Twitter comments on that photo, someone suggested that Steve Bannon told Kushner how to dress for the trip — and even gave him an undersized flak jacket to wear. LMAO.
.
Daddy’s money, of course, like most Harvard students.
.
thanks for the post. i didn’t know that Kushner’s dad had served hard time for serious federal crimes. according to the article.
“Charles Kushner differed from his peers on the committee in another way: he had a criminal record. Five years after Jared entered Harvard, the elder Kushner pleaded guilty in 2004 to tax violations, illegal campaign donations and retaliating against a witness.”
this guy and his family is going to bear close watching.
