Might be better to use a less harsh example equivalent to destroying signs.
Also, I think the Aristotle quote may have been misattributed. First because in his time I don't think there was any sophistry going around exaggerating the moral value of "equality" at the expense of all other virtues like there is now. And secondly because when I googled it I found this wikiquote page on him listing it as misattributed.
