Nothing fundamentally changes. Russia and Iran continue to pursue their own strategic interests in Syria. The launch of cruise missiles without a follow up definitive action to change the power equation in Syria essentially maintains the status quo. Assad is so useful to the Russians and Iranians, they will counsel him not to use such weapons again but will not force him out. Neither Trump nor Congress will risk a confrontation with Russia unless American security is directly threatened. However horrible the war in Syria may be, it is not a direct threat to the American people. There has been no real strategic change.
We need to invade Mejico before we ever invade Syria, agreed.
Assad has placed everyone in jeopardy , the treachery that brought his family to power is nothing new to that region, that he has stayed so long is surprising, but then look at the leadership on a global scale that put up with the regime his father built.
He can claim he is saving the Syrian people against protagonists of multiple crazed beliefs and religious factions, but in the end, it is ‘his people’ that remain in power and secure and not the remainder of the nation while the battle rages and the bodycounts grow and grow.
Some say, let them fight it out ,, like that is going to happen, everyone has their fingers and noses and weapon systems in the Middle East, occasionally some folks lose theirs.. and worse. That should be a lesson in itself.

All I know is that we are now AT WAR. All of the witch-hunt investigations must stop now as they serve to undermine the commander in chief. DemoRATS had better STFU unless they are willing to rally behind our president. Sedition should not be tolerated. Protesters should be locked up and the ring leaders should be flown to black sites and detained indefinitely. We can MAGA and end the terrorist threats. But to do so, we need to defend our country against all enemies foreign and DOMESTIC.

I don’t believe rumors about Israeli intel on this for a second. Perpetuating the civil war in Syria serves their purpose.
I understand where you are coming from. Truth is the first casualty of war. I trust Trump to make a good call. We have great intelligence resources, and I suspect there is good intel on who did what.
There are plenty of rumors that this was a false flag. I have lots of doubts about them. The idea that we left lots of sarin gas in Iraq for ISIS to grab does tend to move the B.S. meter.
Tired of this already. Russia is playing games and Trump just called Vlad’s bluff. We can strike from anywhere without putting troops on the ground. Russia will no longer hide behind their little sister (Asaad). It’s not about Syria gassing their own. It’s all about calling out Russia. We will stop Assad and ultimately eliminate the refugee issue. The refugees invading the free world is what Putin wants. (Hint: He’s not taking any).
Nip it in the bud and if Vlad wants to face US one on one, bring it. In the meantime, if Trump is smart, soon he will be repatrioting military elligible Syrians back into their own country.
