I was against this but no longer.
1. We had all the intel to prove Syria did the gas attack. Flight paths, radar signatures, even seeing the bombs dropping, all of it. It’s beyond a shadow of a doubt that Assad was responsible.
2. The days of indecisiveness are over. This was a shot across the bow of not only Syria but Russia, China, North Korea and Iran.
3. Russia was informed prior to the strike.
4. No, it won’t start WW3.
5. Chemical weapons use CANNOT be tolerated.
If Assad had used napalm instead of nerve gas, could that be tolerated?
Did Asad drop chemical munitions, or did they blow up a weapons depot that had chemical weapons?
For extra points, did Asad know there were chemical weapons on the ground?
For extra extra points, IF Asad knew there were chemical weapons intended to be used against his side was it inappropriate for him to take them out before they could be used?
