The United States launched dozens of cruise missiles Thursday night at a Syrian airfield in response to what it believes was the Syrian government's use of banned chemical weapons blamed for having killed at least 100 people on Tuesday, U.S. military officials told NBC News.
The U.S. military fired at least 50 Tomahawk missiles intended for a single target — Ash Sha'irat in Homs province in western Syria, the officials said.

I think trump actually thinks this government is functional. he built a company (several) from a $1m startup. After this i think he doesn’t know how to do a hostile take over. he thinks these people actually work for him. sad.
I don’t believe Assad did it. I find it interesting that a chemical weapons attack happened 3 days after Trump told the UN leader he was not going after Assad. What a sure way to make him go after Assad. Bad intel. Why Trump is suddenly trusting this bs about Assad now - I don’t understand.
I’m unsure about the decision. If it’s a limited air campaign, it could change the dynamics with our enemies (or they return to business as usual). However, if we are truly committed to remove Assad, it will end in disaster and the loss of American lives.

Yeah, I was already thinking about that point he makes that this action gives the lie to all the imbeciles of the left who claim that Trump is linked to Putin or beholden to Putin. President Trump just thrashed Putin’s chief ally in the world with 59 cruise missiles. Not exactly the behavior of someone close to Putin or caring about what Putin wants.
The whole “Trump-Russia” propaganda meme was always ludicrous, but tonight provided explosive proof that President Trump is not interested in Russia’s interests.
He attacked a military airfield, owned by a country that is a strategic partner with Russia, and one that had Russian planes on it.
