Muslim safe spaces, increased lessons on Islam during social studies classes, and other measures will be adopted by San Diego Unified School District to combat bullying.
The Council for American-Islamic Relations and school officials in southern California collaborated on a “holistic” approach to bullying that will likely be implemented this fall. The changes, which include adding Muslim holidays to school calendars, are the result of a study directed by the San Diego school board in July 2016.

True, Americans do need to learn more about the Quran and Sharia Law. They should know that most Muslims believe that leaving the religion, “apostasy” should be punished by death. Learn how the holy books of Islam “submission”, the religion of the sword, are used by ISIS and Al Qaeda to justify their terror in their pursuit of a global caliphate.
I don’t think our public schools will be teaching that.
Looking at what is happening in Syria, and Iran, and Iraq, Brussels, Berlin and Paris - I would think the West needs safe spaces from Islam. Aren’t the great majority of terrorist attacks and deadly conflicts this century being carried out in the name of Islam?
How about making that safe space 18 miles south.

Include the facts that our forefathers fought the Muslim Barbary pirates ('the Shores of Tripoli...') fighting slavery; and that Islam has inflicted 1400 years of slavery in the world. Saudi Arabia didn't officially ban slavery until 1962 - due to world pressure - and Islamic Mauritania didn't ban it until the 1980s. And, of course, those are just 'official' statements. Islamic/Arabic Northern Sudan continues to enslave black Sudanese from the south.
And Sharia Law intrinsically permits slavery (if it was good enough for Mohammad, then it is good enough for the 'modern' Muslim).
By all means, teach away.... but we know the cowards in our education system won't teach. They will just brainwash.

Patriotic students should stage a walkout when the teachers breech the separation of church and state by forcing a religion down their throats, then the parents should lawyer up.
