Reports in unmasking controversy were detailed, had info about 'everyday lives'

The intelligence reports at the center of the Susan Rice unmasking controversy were detailed, and almost resembled a private investigator’s file, according to a Republican congressman familiar with the documents.

"This is information about their everyday lives," Rep. Peter King of New York, a member of the House Intelligence committee said. "Sort of like in a divorce case where lawyers are hired, investigators are hired just to find out what the other person is doing from morning until night and then you try to piece it together later on.”

Ok, so this is really, really significant because it speaks to the POLITICAL motive and has nothing to do with national security.

I argued earlier that proving a political motivation is hard.

It just got a helluva lot easier.

>> And who pays for it? Is there a slush fund Obama had that covered this?

>Don’t be silly. You and I paid for it. Along with every other American taxpayer.

I only brought this up because on of the charges against Nixon was that he had a slush fund for various ‘off the books’ adventures.

I bet Obama did as well. (And of course we paid for it - unless Obama sold drugs on the side.)

THAT WOULD BE SESSIONS.

Congress suckered Sessions into recusing himself from the Russian investigation, and this is entwined with the Russian investigation because the snooping was allegedly done as part of it. Clever, huh?

Congress also won't confirm a deputy AG, so we're left with Obama's DOJ.

Rosenstein confirmation (Deputy AG) may also be a piece of the puzzle. He got out of committee earlier this week and should be confirmed soon.

I think at some point Sessions has to call for a special prosecutor and/or grand jury. Not sure how the system works.

Ya think this is what Hillary was bitching about with the ‘all our necks will be in nooses’ stuff?

“where is Sessions?”

Surely assembling an airtight case. You want to cut off any possible line of escape for your quarry.

If this moves like Watergate you start squeezing the small fry first, hang some serious jail time on them. I’d be hunting for an immunity deal if I was Evelyn Farkas. That crazy-eyed blabber mouth implicated herself a dozen ways. And if they have the goods on Lying Susan Rice they need to send her to prison for the full term unless she can hand them Barack Obama itself.

Reminds me of that Sopranos episode where the FBI guys bug his house and are listening in a van. All they hear is:

Tony: what kind of coffee was that last night?

wife: it was vienna roast, its lighter than dark roast.

Tony: cleaned me right out.

No. It’s about to get much, much, much worse.

I don’t know what, I don’t know how. But if this is what we KNOW, the “known unknowns” alone will be titanic.

Right now, Justice is still under swamp control, thanks to Session’s idiocy of recusing himself so fast. The #2 at justice is still, I think, Boente —compromised swamp creature appointed by MB mole Hussein Obama, and beholden to the dems.

Rod Rosenstein’s confirmation as Trump’s (Session’s) new #2 guy has been slow walked by dems in the senate, but did move forward out of committee Monday. His vote should be coming up very soon. This is key, and needs to be pushed HARD. Once confirmed, Boente will be pushed aside and watch for Rod Rosenstein to start a full investigation.

The new #3 was also moved forward out of committee too, name escapes me.

Soon, baby, sooooon.....

It seems that Trump to is working through House and Senate oversight committees to do preliminary investigation and provide criminal and investigative requests to the DOJ - like the Hillary Clinton perjury referral sent to the DOJ and FBI past year.

As soon as this occurs, the DOJ takes over and convenes a Grand Jury

Would be interesting to learn if a similar pattern exists back to the election regarding Mitt Romney.

Congress suckered Sessions into recusing himself from the Russian investigation ...

It's long past time to stop the utter bullsh!t about Congress "suckering" anyone on this. Sessions recused himself because he knew damn well that he was a target of illegal surveillance ... which meant that he could not investigate the matter because he is likely going to be a witness in any legal proceedings.

It's embarrassing to see so many people here on FreeRepublic who just assume someone like Sessions -- who has been a fixture in Washington for decades -- is politically naïve and dumb as a bag of sh!t.

This is criminal beyond belief. The “Patriot Act” was a colossal mistake. The hero here is Edward Snowden who told us this was happening. It is encumbrance on us to insist that the Patriot act be massively curtailed with death penalty for violation. They have turned us into a fish bowl. Great corruption will intercede on our wishes to return to privacy. We must offset that with ferocious intensity. Our lives and property are at stake.

I suspected this might be the case. Very little if anything to do with Russia because the Russia deal was only a ruse. IMHO the Obama administration is in trouble over this. The White House in not a detective agency.
