Probably not a bad thing. I’d trust Gen Dunford before Bannon on national security items.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) targeted President Donald Trump’s daughter, Ivanka Trump, during a Wednesday press conference. Pelosi’s comments came after she asked about comments Ivanka Trump made during an interview on “CBS This Morning.”
CBS host Gayle King had asked Trump to address those who say she is “complicit” in her father’s White House. “In an interview today, Ivanka Trump said, ‘I don’t know what it means to be complicit’ and that ‘not to conflate lack of public denouncement with silence.’ What do you make of these comments?” an-off camera reporter asked Pelosi.
Bannon is still there though. close to the President. Bloomberg attempts to make it sound as a shakeup when it’s not.
“A White House official said that Bannon was placed on the committee in part to monitor Trump’s first national security adviser, Michael Flynn, and never attended a meeting. He’s no longer needed with McMaster in charge of the council, the official said.”
And here is good news:
“Under the move, the national intelligence director, Dan Coats, and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Marine Corps General Joseph Dunford, are again “regular attendees” of the NSC’s principals committee.”
The fact that Coats is still there and is a regular is a good sign that the country is in good hands.
In the midst of accusing Rice of politicizing Intelligence, it is bad optics to have your chief political strategist in the NSC position.
Trump is entitled to make these kinds of moves after the game starts just like any seasoned businessman would do to make all the parts of his machine work more efficiently.
Media will make this out to be a big deal because they hate Bannon.
