http://www.cnbc.com/2015/04/20/how-do-cable-companies-make-their-money.html 20 Apr 2015 Most cord cutters are hoping to avoid paying for "bundled" channels they don't watch. Given the way cable companies and networks carve up your monthly bill, lots of people pay for TV they don't watch. ESPN, for example, reaches only 3 percent of the total cable audience, but gets paid 18 percent of cable subscription fees, according to MoffettNathanson Research. Fox, by contrast, reaches 13 percent of the cable TV audience, but gets only 3 percent of subscription fees.

ESPN just published a letter saying they would refrain from political commentary except when it was explicitly tied to sports. Now they’re doubling down on stupid with this move.

Well, I'll give ESPN credit for one thing. Since they bought out the rights to a lot of the sports programming that used to be on the old networks(available for us OTA's)...I watch FAAAAAAAAAAR less sports than I used to, freed up my time to do more meaningful things.

Besides, when officiating appears to control outcomes for so many of these "sports" events...is it really a sport, or has it morphed into a type of controlled reality TV(for ratings/$$$)?

Progressivism is a disease that destroys everything it touches, while lining the pockets of a few(algore-type)leeches.

Don’t blame yourself. Espn was probably going to get her eventually. It seems to be made up of political zealots, useful idiots.

Her replacement Michelle Beadle is unwatchable.

I happened to catch a segment in which Sage was talking with Jalen Rose and Michael Wilbon.

As I recall, Jalen and Wilbon were defending NBA player and multi-multi-millionaire Andre Igoudala referring in an interview to his GSW coaches as “slave masters.”

It was a stupid comment for Igoudala to make even though it was probably an inside joke with his coaches, and Sage made the obvious point, that it was a stupid comment for him to make, but had to disagree with Jalen and Wilbon in doing so.

The people in charge of ESPN are idiots.

“Make ESPN a ‘premium’ channel and it will disappear...........................”

I feel better just canceling the whole ball of puke :-) ... I’ve grown to loathe that entire industry. I’ve gotten to the point where I will pay more for internet a month than an internet & TV bundle (not the case ... yet) ... while I know my internet costs are still subsidizing cable TV somewhat, at least I don’t have to see that line item on my bill each month knowing I am directly funding these filthbuckets :-).

While Netflix and Amazon are run by liberal retards, I’ll stick with those and over-the-air TV when I need the nation’s jesters to entertain me (though I could see myself canceling Netflix this year).
