Deceased Oklahoma Robbery Suspect’s Grandfather Says ‘Unfair’ to Shoot Grandson with AR-15

The Oklahoma man who fatally shot three teenage intruders won’t face charges, authorities announced Monday.
Zachary Peters, 23, defended his family’s home with an AR-15 after three teenager broke into the house to try and rob it last week, reports the Associated Press.
The Wagoner County assistant district attorney announced that Peters acted lawfully, after authorities conducted an investigation into the shooting.

Hell. Could have killed the three of them with a pump mossberg. Would’ve done a nice job too (though messier). And I’m sure Grampy would have been happy then.
I don’t care for the title of this, but I love the outcome. I believe the title should be more like “Man defending himself will not face charges.”

He didn’t “gun them down”.
He justifiably shot three home invaders. “gunning down” is perjorative and implies an unjustified shooting.
Probably not. However if Grandpa’s Pride and Joy had killed everyone in the house and then went and murdered 10 or 15 other innocents, Grandpa would be as happy as a cow in clover. Because in Grandpa’s point of view, whatever his Pride and Joy desires, he should get it. No one, again, in Grandpa’s point of view should tell him nay. Grandpa’s pos got exactly what he deserved. My empathy and sympathy is with the guy who had to kill him to save his own life.
No use charging him anyway. A Wagoner, Oklahoma jury of his peers would toss it out as soon as they were seated.
Something about bringing Knife/knuckles to a gun fight etc?

I had a boss who wrote reports in Ebonics, sigh. He constantly had to have English words defined. A coworker there couldn’t correctly pronounce words with more than two syllables (perpetrator = pepper traitor) and never wrote in cursive.
A sad sign of the times. And it’s not getting better.
Whaaa, it wasn’t faaaaair! Grandpa should “live the rest of his life” with the guilt he didn’t raise the little punk by the Good Book. A few lessons in “Thou shalt not steal” would have him alive today.
