this confirms that the seeking of intel on Trump et al was ALL political...nothing to do with Russia
I heard a politician say yesterday that “we don’t know what the Russians did but we know they will do it again.”
Since when is IBD...a blog?
Reminds me somewhat of my ex-wife who kept accusing me of fooling around with a former girlfriend. Meanwhile, as her personal diary would later confirm, it was SHE who was doing the cheating. She had been having a “final fling” with an old boyfriend while I was over 100 miles away working on the house I had bought for us to move to after we got married. This was nearly 30 years ago.
I pointed out the uselessness of the drivel they wrote last summer. I was assured by a Freeper, no less, that he saw the source code himself and it was the Russians. I don't remember who it was, but obviously a lot of people were taken in. What I didn't expect back then was to hear Comey testify this past month that he never looked at the DNC servers and they used Crowdstrike as evidence.
Well with my bit of computer forensic experience, I can safely say that counterhacking does not produce valid evidence. Unless Crowdstrike did evidence gathering that they didn't write about, what they did write about is completely worthless.

No explosion, just the fizzle of a dud.
Progressive “scandals” never go anywhere.
There will always be the blunting of anything they do as harmless and not of any consequence and on and on until it goes away. (Not to mention the intimidation, bad manners, horrible behaviour and insulting demeanor of Progressives in congress; shades of a former N.Y. Congressman, et al.)
IMHO
This is true but the TRUMP UNSUBSTANTIATED FALSE OBAMA WIRETAPPED TRUMP TOWER claim is alive and well because technically Obama himself did not literally go into Trump tower with actual wire etc. so see there?! Trump LIED and should be IMPEACHED!!! That’s the real story. And naturally when they are unable to completely ignore the Rice story they go out of their way to justify her actions. Sad pathetic media.
I no longer assume the Republicans or the RNC are on my side. They are on "their" own side which is to protect their power, greed and their elitist way of life in Washington DC.
Too many of them could be democRATS and we couldn't tell the difference. They are all in on this deceit of the American people together. They are no more in their elected offices to represent their constituents, than cats like to go swimming.
Most of the Republicans are not representative of my views but of the opposition views, the demoCRAPS. I'll fend for myself.
The election of Trump has exposed the skeletons in the closets of the Washington elite politicians and their complicit media. Stripped bare naked by their lies and obfuscations, they are now revealed as our enemy, not as our legitimate representatives.
Thanks, but I’ve been making the point that it was Obama-Hillary who were colluding with the Russians, not Trump. Trump, early on, may have been misguided about Putin. However, he seems to have since been soundly advised by wise administration picks like Pence, Haly, Sessions, and likely others, on the true nature and history of that KGB thug. He had a few bad eggs on his team. Fortunately, they got the boot.
What scandal? Susan Rice is a true patriot who was only acting in America’s best interests.

I have to take great exception to your statements - all of them. I’ve known Mike Flynn for 23 years and, while he may have been a lifelong Democrat, he was no “stooge” for anyone. Mike served and excelled in some of the toughest and most demanding positions in the Army, including the 82d Airborne, XVIII Airborne Corps, JSOC and SOCOM. He is almost universally considered a patriot and a “soldier’s soldier” and the most frequent criticism I ever heard of him - including from he himself - is that he “didn’t fit in the Washington establishment” (said while he was DIA Director) and I would remind you that he was removed from his position and retired because of his criticism of Obama policies.
As for him being an Obama appointee, that, too, is nonsense. He was selected to be Director of DIA by DoD and the Joint Chiefs and his selection was approved and his nomination forwarded by Obama; no different than any general officer for any flag command/leadership position. Using your criteria, Mattis, Kelly and McMaster were also “Obama appointees”.
Flynn was very critical of Obama and his policies, particularly in Afghanistan, and moreso than Mattis, Kelly or McMaster. He even went so far as to publish an article critical of intelligence operations in Afghanistan in 2010 - an article that was first disapproved by DoD, but published without DoD approval by CNAS. (See: https://www.cnas.org/publications/reports/fixing-intel-a-blueprint-for-making-intelligence-relevant-in-afghanistan)
Flynn had/has? close ties to the Moscow-controled media outlet Russia Today (RT). He has a warm and friendly relationship with KGB Putin.
More on that here...

A long, long time ago I posted on this board that it’s “Us vs. Them”, and has been for a long time.
I’ve seen nothing that dissuades me from this view.
CA....
Yes, I realize Flynn is quite suspect, on the character meter. I only first noticed it when both he and his goofy son looked like clowns, from his high position, out posting tweets on scandals against Hillary.
Best to leave that to somebody else. Behaving like a street vendor selling hot chestnuts was tasteless for a man set to be the Defense Secretary or some such.
Well, you apparently know him a lot better than I do...
That sounds like something the mainstream media would say (”warm and friendly”) about Trump; just remove Flynn and insert Trump. Either way, it’s bullshit.
The guy who founded RT was found dead inside a Wash DC hotel room in Nov 2015. All of the state-run media outlets, including Russia Today, stated he had died of a heart attack. However, when the autopsy results came out 4 months later, it was learned he actually died of blunt force trauma to the head and torso. The guy had had some sort of falling out with Putin and reportedly was about to become an informer, a snitch.
Whether the KGB thug had him murdered, as he had many former colleagues and outspoken opponents, in my opinion, is not entirely settled. In any case, the following will hopefully give you some badly needed insight into the workings of the media in Russia.
Mikhail Yuriyevich Lesin (July 11, 1958 November 5, 2015) was a Russian political figure, media executive and an adviser to president Vladimir Putin.[1]
In 2006 he was awarded the Order “For Merit to the Fatherland”, one of Russia's highest state decoration for civilians.
Mikhail Lesin was nicknamed the Bulldozer because of his ability to get virtually all Russian media outlets under The Kremlin's control.[2]—wikipedia

“RT [Russia Today] has been called a propaganda outlet for the Russian government[10][11][12] and its foreign policy[10][11][13][14] by former Russian officials[15] and by news reporters,[16] including former RT reporters.[17][18][19]
It has also been accused of spreading disinformation.[20][21][22]
The network states that it offers a ‘Russian perspective’ on global events.[24]”

RT = RUSSIA TODAY
Nov 2015...
Millionaire Mikhail Lesin, 57, was found dead in $240-a-night in Washington DC last Friday [Nov 6, 2015] and police are investigating
The pro-Putin ‘propaganda channel’ he set up, RT [Russia Today] , claimed he ‘had been suffering from a prolonged unidentified illness’
But DC police have made no such finding
“Nicknamed the ‘Bulldozer’, Lesin was one of the key props of the Putin presidency, personally masterminding a wide-ranging media crackdown which has left the vast majority of Russian TV stations and newspapers obedient to the Kremlin.”

The following article is from December *2014*
“Mikhail Lesin has stepped down as head of major state-controlled media holding Gazprom-Media, the company said late last week.
Gazprom-Media, whose holdings include independent radio station Ekho Moskvy, said Lesin’s resignation was due to family reasons, Russian media reports said Friday.
The holding's board of directors will finalize his resignation at an upcoming meeting, Gazprom-Media was cited by Ekho Moskvy as saying. No replacement has been named.
Earlier, a flurry of reports of Lesin’s imminent resignation appeared on Russian news wires, all based on undisclosed sources and giving divergent accounts of the motive.
Forbes Russia cited sources in the media and government as confirming the resignation, with one of the individuals claiming that the decision was made personally by President Vladimir Putin.”

” [RT (Russia Today) founder, Mikhail] Lesin was a central figure in the early Putin years, spearheading the Kremlin's effort to silence the country's independent television, the first step in the consolidation of authoritarian rule.
The first target was NTV, at that time Russia's largest and most popular independent TV channel, whose hard-hitting news broadcasts, talk shows, and satirical programs criticized the government over growing corruption and the war in Chechnya and gave airtime to the opposition.
In June 2000, a month after Putin's inauguration, NTV’s founder and majority shareholder, Vladimir Gusinsky, was arrested and placed in Moscow's infamous Butyrka prison.
While he was there, the information minister made an offer: Gusinsky could have his freedom if he agreed to transfer his media holdings to Gazprom, the state-owned energy monopoly. ...”

The real BS is that it would be the Trump administration who would be helping Putin achieve his neo-expansionist goals, when the facts show it's the Soros-supported DemonRats who have done precisely that, with their near dismantling of our military plus the traiterous deals they made with Russia on all-important missile defense and nukes, and the Uranium One deal, where the Russians wound up with 20% of our uranium production!. In fact, the Russians, around a month ago, transferred a bunch of that Uranium to their puppet ally Iran.
