Remember, they are Leftists and as such, by definition, totally incompetent.
They only ever win because most conservatives have much better things to do with our lives than chase political careers.
We'd rather do most anything but politics and so by default we turn the political battlefield over to Leftists.
That's why they win.
But if we stand up & oppose them -- lawfully, peacefully, but forcefully -- we can beat them more often than not.

The left is aligned with some serious organized criminal firepower.
The black left has the Black Guerilla Family lined up for when the shooting starts.
On the latino side La Raza has official and known alliances with both La eMe (Mexican Mafia) and 18th Street gang (together about 10k shooters) and a loose alliance with MS-13. These gangs also run the coyote business and are tied in with the cartels across the Mexican border and can bring large numbers of professional hitters across at will, at least until the wall is completed. And even then there’s the coastal routs.
Also, the left can count on support from resident jihadiscum for at least the short term.
I’m not saying there’s a hope in hell for them to win. I am saying it will be bloody though.
When the primarily urban rejects of Spanish society elected a leftist government in 1936 and set about “fundamentally transforming” Spain (burning churches, seizing land), the army and police, supported by much of the rural population, rose up and fought a three year war to restore order. In the end, the leftists were too incompetent to really organize much; their screeds against authority left them with a rabble that refused to take orders or see anything beyond their own selfish interests, and starvation set in. Like all communist utopias, nobody wanted to do the actual work involved with raising crops and such...
