This ‘divide’ was consciously and purposely created. The creation of this destructionism is nearly a full century in the making.
There is no way in hell it can be peacefully solved. The domestic enemy will not allow that to happen.
Only the willfully blind are unwilling to see the situation as an us or them binary solution set.
This is one of the best op-ed’s I’ve read in a long time. Very true and very insightful.
Really nailed and described the leftist mentality in a way we can understand since much of how the left thinks is still a mystery we simply describe as a mental illness.

Almost every communist screed or history I've ever read spends the first half denouncing capitalism, the rich, privileged, or whatever they call it. It's always about the revolution. They never seem to get around to fulfilling their utopian promises, except to enrich themselves.
Between the corruption, the third-worlders and the rock-solid stupidity of the American people; this country will not survive. I am spending less time at FR because I am sick of reading about those three topics.

FWIW: burying an ant colony is pointless, they will just dig to the surface and use the free dirt to expand their colony. You fight an ant colony by poisoning the queen(s) ... some ant colonies, like the Allegheny Mound Ant, have hundreds of queens in each mound ...
Greenfield has nailed it again.
What he does not mention is that the “Progressives” have gone so far over the top with the Obama administration that they have alienated much of their constituency, leaving only the base. The base is not that large, probably no more than 20 percent of the country, likely less.
As they become more and more unhinged, that base shrinks down to the True Believers. True Believers are probably less than 10% of the country.
10% of committed people can do a lot, but the have to contend with probably 30% of equally committed opposition.
Human nature and reality are working against them.

No sir, it is sedition to advocate the violent overthrow of the government. If this continues unabated, this shadow anti-government will result in no government. Warlords, anyone?

It’s far more than GOP versus Dems
It’s them against us
They reject western civilization mostly on racial grounds but also in reference to nearly any other minority’s so called discrimination at white hands
And those aggrieved have more power than they ever have and seek to import more to bolster their numbers and we can see how they intend to deal with us
The inroads they’ve made with every generation from even pre boomers forward is scary and their influence has grown every decade since WWII
precious few kids today are not at least partially compromised even if the parents did all they could
I have no faith in the GOP
