CHICAGO (CBS) — After a violent day in the South Shore neighborhood, a longtime resident questioned why there is no the outrage from black activists.
“I see them coming out always downtown protesting against the police. But never do I see them inside the black community,” activist Tio Hardiman said.
Hardiman of Violence Interrupters visited the South Shore neighborhood after seven people were killed in three separate shootings less than 12 hours apart on Thursday.
Hardiman said he wasn’t joking when he suggested that “young people in the South and West Sides of Chicago be equipped with helmets and bullet-proof vests.”

chicago residents should just send their children to live in fallujah. it’s much safer there.
Don’t give them bullet-proof vests! Lock them up in little cages so that when the grow up they will know what their future homes will be like.
A very sensible solution, buy all of the kids and everyone else in Chicago “bullet proof” vests. Have the police write fines for anyone found to be NOT WEARING their city government provided bullet proof vest. Thus we protect the people and raise money from fines levied on those who don’t wear them.
(please note I’m being sarcastic, though the current city government might actually do this)

Suffering in an impoverished high-crime low-opportunity area? MOVE.
Amazing how that is rejected by those thinking “get your kids a bulletproof vest” and other deranged coping notions of the Left. Basic principle of self-defense and self-sufficiency regarding bad situations: DON’T BE THERE. Horrible murder rate? Food deserts? No opportunities? GTFO! ...yet I’m seeing more references to people in such areas _staying_ there, as if there is no such option, berating me & others for suggesting GO SOMEWHERE ELSE ALREADY.

Easier said than done. This is an ongoing problem according to people I know in law enforcement. Say a shooting happens in these ghetto areas. Police arrive, and typically nobody saw anything. Nobody can testify. Nobody can identify a shooter or a getaway car or provide any evidence. There are people lying there dead or injured. There may have been crowds of people present when shots were fired. But generally the police can’t find anyone who saw anything. Officially anyway they didn’t see what happened .
And there it is. Black "activists" care nothing about black lives. They only care when they can use a black man's death, be it during the commission of a crime or not, to extort money from white guilters.
